As Christians, one of the ways that the Holy Spirit will help guide us in this life is though other people. In the Bible are several fascinating verses telling us that there is safety in the multitude of counselors and that you will wage war by wise counsel with other believers.

God can obviously give us a direct word whenever He wants to, but there will be other times that He will speak to us though other people. This is why Jesus has set us up as a Body, not as lone rangers. For related article, see fruit of the holy spirit.

Once we become born-again Christians, not only are we grafted back into the Lord, but we are also joining all of the other born-again believers who are in the world today. Hence, we are now a church and as such, we need to work with one another in unison and harmony so we can all accomplish God's perfect will for our lives.

For those of you who were not aware of these very good verses, here are 6 good verses that will tell you in no uncertain terms that God does want all of us sharing our walks with other believers and at times, working with one another to accomplish certain tasks and duties.

1. “Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” (Proverbs 11:14)

2. “A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength; for by wise counsel you will wage your own war, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety.” (Proverbs 24:5)

3. “Every purpose is established by counsel; by wise counsel wage war.” (Proverbs 20:18)

4. “Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established.” (Proverbs 15:22)

5. “Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter days.” (Proverbs 19:20)

6. “Cease listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge.” (Proverbs 19:27)

The Bible tells us that we will only know in part and we thus have to be willing to share our storehouse of knowledge in the Lord with other Christians, and they likewise need to do the same with us so we can all grow in the grace and knowledge of God for our lives.
