One of the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit is the Word of Knowledge. And this is one gift we all need to receive from the Holy Spirit since our own knowledge levels are so imperfect and so incomplete. For related article, see bible verses about love.

The Word of Knowledge is simply the Holy Spirit transmitting His specific knowledge to you on something that you would have no ability or means to be able to know about with your own limited intelligence and knowledge levels. It is supernatural knowledge and insight being given directly to you by the Holy Spirit Himself, not by your own mind or your own intelligence levels.

This is one gift that really does manifest quite frequently among Christians, but many of the times, we do not recognize it as coming in from the Holy Spirit. You first of all have to realize that this gift is still available to believers today, and then you have to be alert and sensitive enough to pick it up when it does come in on you so you do not miss it.

The word of Knowledge can cover just about anything in your life. If you are a teenager and you are still in school, the Holy Spirit can give you words of knowledge to help you with your school work. If you are an adult and employed, He can give you words of knowledge to help you on your everyday duties and tasks on your job.

If you are married with children, He can give you words of knowledge on how to handle certain situations with your children or your spouse. If you have just fallen into the middle of a trial and tribulation, He can give you words of knowledge on how to work yourself out of it.

There is literally nothing that the Holy Spirit can give you words of knowledge on so He can help you handle whatever it is you are facing. Since our own knowledge levels are never going to be good enough to get the job done, we all need the knowledge from God since His knowledge is absolutely perfect on all matters.

These words of knowledge for the most part will come to you in the form of an inner knowing. It will come out of your spirit, and from your spirit your mind will receive it so you can then act on it.

The Holy Spirit can also give you pictures in your mind's eye with what He is trying to communicate to you. The reason He loves to give visions in your mind's eye is because a picture is worth a thousand words. Once you receive that picture in your mind's eye, you will see exactly what He is trying to communicate to you.

For those of you who are not receiving this gift with any kind of regularity in your life, simply go to God in prayer and ask that He release this gift through His Spirit as often as He will want to do it. If you put this kind of request before the Lord in prayer, He will hear you loud and clear, and He will then start to transmit His divine knowledge to you covering many different areas of your life where you will need His help on.
