If there are two verses from our Bible that will tell us why so many people end up drawn down major misfortune in their lives, it has to be the two verses I will give you in this article.

As you will see in these two very special powerful verses from our Bible, they are telling us that God's people can go into captivity and literally perish in this life as a result of not having the right kind of knowledge in the Lord.

As we all know, the Bible gives us all of the ways and commandments of our Lord - with all of it being for our own good and protection. And when we violate these basics ways and commandments, we could break our protective hedge with the Lord and allow unnecessary tribulation to come our way in this life. How many people have ended up leaving this life way to early all because they got caught up with the wrong crowd or did things that were going against the ways of God?

Doing drugs, hanging out with the wrong people, engaging in fornication, adultery and parts of the New Age movement could all lead to disastrous results in our lives.

Sleep with the wrong person and you could end up with AIDS for the rest of your life. Engage in any part of the New Age movement, and you could draw major demonic activity in your life, as demons are the ones who are running the New Age show.

Again, all of these ways as laid out for us by the Lord in His Word is all for our own benefit and protection. God is not trying to keep us from the good things in this life, He is trying to protect us from the things that could really hurt us when He lays down these kinds of commandments and ways.

These ways and commandments of our Lord should be taught to every single child as they are being raised up in the Lord. If they are not, your child could end up become easy pickings for the demons and bad people of this life who will try to get your child to go astray from the Lord and how He wants them to live their lives.

Here are these two very profound verses from our Lord. These are two verses that every single Christian should have committed to full memory so we never, ever forget this solemn warning being given to us by the Lord.

1. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6)

2. “Therefore My people have gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge …” (Isaiah 5:13)
