SOME FOLKS

Some tunnels have no end lights
Some dawns never do arrive.
Losing not just some, but all fights ,
Some folks inexplicably survive.

Some prayers are never answered.
Some stories have no end.
Hearing no music, leaving mad the dancers,
Some folks stay in the wind and don’t bend

Some trains have no tracks.
Some birds have no flight.
Having no color, everything black,
Some folks go on with no end in sight.

Some dreams never come true.
Some wounds never do heal.
Living lives like so few,
Some folks never get to appeal.

Some storms leave no rainbow.
Some trees never do spring wake.
Having heavy, hungry hearts to show,
Some folks pray for prayer’s sake.
