THE PERFECTION FRIENDSHIP

Did you ever wish you could find just one person who would be your true friend? That person would be someone who wouldn’t criticize your faults but would build up your good qualities, someone who would offer forgiveness instead of blame, someone who did not need to be impressed but would love you as you are. Someone you trusted enough to share your inmost thoughts with.

Perhaps, at some point in your life, you thought you had found such a person. You felt an instant rapport spring up between you and that one, and you thought, ah, here is the friend I have been looking for! But some how, as you spent time together, the relationship did not meet your expectations. Finally, it began disintegrating.

So the search for the perfect friendship began again, because somehow you sensed that a relationship like that would fill an empty place inside. Instructively you knew if that place could be filled, you would be complete, and in some way, be a better person.

You search is not in vain there is someone who offers you that kind of relationship, Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He loves you just as you are, because He created you (John 1:3). He offers you the friendship you have been looking for, an intimacy that will fill the void in your heart. You don’t have to worry about this relationship breaking down due to His failure to do His part. In fact, He can help you succeed in doing yours. Jesus is aware of your faults, but He understands and cares about you anyway. He just wants to change you for the better. You see, He wants you to experience life the way He intended it to be lived when He created you, He offers you the chance to live that way. He realizes you can’t do this by yourself, but He is eager to help you.

The cost of offering the help was high. It was His own life! Though He is the Son of God, He came to earth to live as a man and then die for your sins, as an ultimate proof of His love for you. The Bible tells us, “greater love halt no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13).

You cannot enjoy perfect friendship with Jesus unless your heart has been changed. Bible says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, who can know it, Jer. 19:9. However, when you seek Him and you are sorry for all you have done wrong, He forgives your sins and comes to live in your life through Holy Spirit. He accepts you as you are and make you into something far better, then Jesus Christ walk with you every day. He lives in your heart sharing with you the perfect friendship.

Dear reader, what is your own opinion about God? Do you love and revere Him? Or have you been blinded by your sorrow, suffering, prejudice and adverse situation to conclude there is no God? Or perhaps, you think He does not care enough for you? Have you been doubled-crossed by those you wholeheartedly trusted and confided in? Or is it a close associate who has betrayed you and now, as you count the cost, you fill utterly hopeless and helpless? Believe that God loves you and that He cares for you. His heart is touched by your grief and He will surely bring you out if you allow Him.

It is one of the major lies of the Satan to make you believe God does not love you. Having himself lost the privilege of heaven forever, Satan would do whatever his cunning heart can devise to make you lose that privilege too. In all honesty, what God hated in you are yours sins. Dear friend, come now to Jesus in repentance. He will pardon and set you free from all your troubles. Surrender your life totally unto Him. Then arise and rejoice in the Lord for you have got a perfect friend.
