CHRISTMAS

Jesus was born the first Christmas was here,
Angels rejoicing no need to fear.
Mary and Joseph watched over the crib,
Wise men came calling their gifts to give.

A baby had come from the heavenly throne,
To live as we live, and be one of our own.
Our Saviour Jesus, dealt with our sin and pain.
Joy to the world, we can start over again.

Each year at this time we celebrate his birth,
We remember his name and talk of his worth.
He saved us with his own precious blood,
Now we are free because of his love

Not just at Christmas but all year round
This wonderful counsellor can be found.
Let the bells of your heart ring loud and strong,
For the joy that he puts there means you can’t go wrong.

Sing praises to the joyful king,
He reigns on high, above everything.
Let his kingdom come in you today,
This Christmas don’t let him slip away.
