GOD NEVER SLEEPS

In the early hours of the morning when all is quiet and still,
God watches over us, his promise to fulfil.
He will never leave us no matter what the hour,
God never sleeps, there’s no end to his power.

His holy angels he sends to guard our nights of rest,
He gives us dreams and visions, yes we are truly blest.
Some nights he will awaken us just to have a word or two,
Or maybe there is something that he really needs us to do.

When morning comes upon us and we face another day,
Our God is there waiting to hear what we have to say.
Do we say good morning Lord or thank you, come what may?
Our God never slumbers, he’s there anyway.

Do we come to him in prayer to start our day with him?
To put ourselves under his wing before the battle begins.
Do we bind ourselves to his will and put our armour on,
Do we believe that this is his day and he’s give us a new song.

As the day goes on the Holy Spirit hovers all around,
The secret place is waiting; I hope it’s a place where we are found.
Take time to listen to our God, he always has surprises,
If we worship and praise him our spirit then arises.

Night time comes around again it’s time to go to bed,
Our heavenly father waits again to hear what will be said.
Do we thank him for that day and for the food we ate,
Do we think about our family and friends that haven’t been saved yet?

Thank you Lord for your provision, for all the things we need,
Thank you Lord for the people we meet in whom we can sow a seed.
Thank you Lord that you’re always around you never slumber or sleep,
Thank you Lord that in you we trust and your promises you always keep.
