CARE TO SHARE?

Have you ever wondered why we are given a gift? Have you figured out why we have different gift to discover and explore? I am sure that you are familiar with the song, “No Man Is An Island”. Where is the connection?

Our lives are woven together. We are here to complete the missing pieces. We are here with our assignments to fulfill. We are not perfect that we do not need someone else’s help. We are here to share what we have. These wonderful gifts are not intended for safe keeping. We do not lock our gifts to ourselves. Our gifts are meant for sharing. It is a gift given to us as a tool to help one another. It is a complement to someone’s need. It is a puzzle that will complete both the lives of the giver and the receiver.

Sharing is a very good thing. It gives you the feeling of doing something right . . . something good. Not only to yourself but especially to the person you are giving help to. Pope John Paul II said, “None are so poor that they have nothing to give and none are so rich that they have nothing to receive”. We are here to extend a helping hand to people who are in need. We all need help. We all have been in that situation. We know the feeling of being helpless. And we feel good when we extend help to someone. It is the most natural thing to do. It is in our nature to look after one another. It is the very essence of our existence.

Sharing our gift is the best thing that we can give back to the ONE who gave us this life. It is our way of saying thank you. So, let’s all say ‘thank you’ every chance we can.
