Reposition (Move) your disposition (Outlook)

The refreshing of spring is an atmospheric change. The bitter cold, shivering, hiding behind closed doors, no sun shining winter has passed. The beauty of spring is evident. The day is beautiful. Moods are lighter. Colours are brighter and the all round contagious, transmittable and infectious sounds of new birth echo through the natural and the supernatural. We shed of our winter jackets and swap it for less. Its time to shed the baggage of the past for a new wardrobe of designer new beginnings with the label of ‘I am a new creation.’

Our lives go through various seasons. There are seasons of victory, triumph, joy, heartache, bitterness, mourning, defeat, failure, lack, sufficiency, greatness and despair. Ecc 3 1-15 – There is an appointed time for everything and there is a time for every event under heaven. Every one of us at some point or the other has experienced at least one of the above. In every season of our lives that is appointed by God, he will cause all things to work together for the Good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose. God is aware of what’s happening in our lives. He knows all things (omniscient) sees all things (omnipresent) and controls all things (omnipotent). He is not distant. He is on the scene. We fail to acknowledge this because we are focused on trying to resolve it ourselves. Its only when we are stuck in our own mess and we run out of our own understanding, we remember God is waiting for us to ask him what the plan was.

Its time for Change – God keeps his covenant

Christians go through great challenges. You endure adversity and remain humble. Sometimes you slip back into old ways and feel too guilty to return. In the Old Testament when a covenant was made between two people, the slaying of an animal in half depicted the sealing of the covenant. Both parties would walk between the shed blood and the slain animal. In the New testament God made the covenant with us but he did not include us in the contract because of our nature to sin. We are not joint covenant makers with God. We are joint heirs with Jesus but not joint covenant keepers. God knew we would fail and go back on our promise. So when Jesus shed his blood on the cross – God established the covenant with himself. God made the covenant with us all by himself so that his grace will always reach us. That is how he is faithful when we are faithless. Even if we reach a place of defeat and darkness, change must come because God is able and willing. His covenant to be our God and for us to be his children stands firm. It is an established right. It will never change. We change our mind. God does not change because he is bound by his holy word.

Change is possible because God keeps his promise to us to redeem us, sanctify us and buy us back from iniquity. YHWH is given in his word as God’s holy covenant name. Yahweh is a modern conjecture. Bible scholars believe the meaning of this is ‘I am who I am or I will be who I will be. God is, was and will always be God. Take heart in this that his greatness is as extensive as his goodness. With his holiness, is his amazing love that reaches us and never separates us from him. He is our Father always looking over us and looking out for us to come in. Declare his power over your life – its time for change. The new wine of spring needs a new wineskin. The evidence of God’s power must never be marginalised. Evil exists but the devil will never be as powerful as our God. Reunite yourself with God through Jesus and let his Holy Spirit reposition your disposition.

Get out the pit
Josephs pit was 14 feet wide (4 .2672 metres) and 12 feet (3.6576 meters) deep. It was a cistern that stored rainwater. Joseph waited to be taken out the pit. We don’t have to wait. We have the luxury of the risen Saviour that defeated all the powers of darkness and chains of bondage. Jesus is the ladder and the rope that can pull us out. Psalms 40b – he will lift us out of the pit and set our feet upon a rock to make our footsteps firm. The pit of circumstances you are facing may seem too high and too deep, lonely and fearful but the ladder of hope (Jesus) will draw you out and place your feet on higher ground. Get out of the pit of your mind and intellect that leads you to destructive ends. The human spirit is a reckoning force that leads one in the way of doubt, disbelief and logic. Jesus is the power that liberates us in the natural and supernatural. His freedom beckons the gift of faith in us to live beyond the realms of logic and possibility. Our own might and power is limited. In Christ Jesus, we receive his limitless power to be more than we can imagine or dream off.


Get Connected with Repositioning
Sometimes you have to leave Marah (Bitterness) in Moab and journey to Bethlehem (house of bread) Judah (land of praise) with the right connection in order to be repositioned. Naomi (Joy - Pleasant) allowed the loss in her life to shadow her existence. She moved from pleasant and sweet to bitterness (Marah). Its only when she connected herself to Ruth (lovely friend), she was able to make the journey of faith back to her heritage of favour and triumph. Naomi’s repositioning returned her to her fathers land or provision, purpose and fulfilment. It’s time for you to return to the original plan of God. Life has its surprises and winding roads. The journey on it may take you to a place of bitterness. It’s never too late to have a turning point that re-directs you to the position of destiny. Not everyone attached to you can make the trip with you. Connect yourself with divine appointment and the baggage will disconnect from you. The ones standing beside you have caught the revelation of where you need to be. Matt 18 vs 19-20 Jesus said, if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for it, it will be done for you by my father in heaven, for where two or three come in my name, there am I with them. Find one more person that can agree with you to keep you in the centre of Gods will and repositioning will give your life a lift. God’s plans for you are already blessed with provision and direction. Suit yourself with his agenda and you will be repositioned for a new dimension in the kingdom.

Romans 8:28 – 30
And we know that God causes all things to work together for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. 29 Those who he foreknew, he also predestined to become conformed to the image of his son, so that he would be firstborn among many brethren. 30-these whom he predestined, he also called, and these whom he called, he justified, these whom he justified, he glorified.
