Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you...

The second epistle of Paul the Apostle to Timothy, his spiritual son, was his last testament or will. A man’s final words are the insight to the treasures of abundant life. It reflects wisdom for correction and guidance to a better life. Take heed because Paul took time to remind Timothy of the gift he possessed. I remind you with the same urgency to accurately align yourself as a kingdom runner and a destiny grabber. No-one can live out another individual’s life. Each of us born of the spirit is called to display the righteousness of Jesus. Train your mind, feed your spirit and lead your heart to attain a life that follows a full measure in Christ. Stirring up the gift inside of you starts with you believing that there is a gift in you. It has nothing to do with the church opening up opportunities for you to be used. It has everything to do with you opening up yourself to the church for kingdom use. Living beneath your gifting makes you an unfaithful steward.

It is only when you release the kingdom of God from inside of you that you feel a pure satisfaction that your life has meaning, direction and fulfilment. A fountain bursts forth from a trickle of water. Deep within us, as Paul reminds Timothy, is a trickle wanting to burst forth. There is an honour of knowing you are uniquely branded for the glory of the risen Saviour.

Should you decide to store up the treasures of God within you and bury it like the man with one talent; you will create barrenness in the vineyard. The ground for your possession will be desolate. A lack of confidence in oneself and a lack of faith in Jesus will blind sight your vision and destiny.

Fan into flame the gift in you to pursue new levels and acquire greater territory for the kingdom of God. Lost time does not change the anointing or render it void. The anointing is a life giving power that expands you as a source of new wine, salt and light. The direction of the anointing flows from within you to heal the sick, mend the broken hearted , set the captives free and restore the lost unto salvation.
Do not profess to know God when your silence denies you through personal disqualification from every good work and the race set before you.
Every one born of God possesses a genuine faith. Man was created to worship and will always find something to worship. The point at which your worship is directed will be the starting point of where you are directed. The human spirit will search to worship and may lead one to idolise the facets of modern day living. The Holy Spirit will direct a true worshipper to the way, the truth and the life. A continual awareness to the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life leads to a decrease in one’s self, and makes room for the gift of God to increase.

Stirring up the gift of God inside of you is not for you but for those around you. Do not allow the enemy to quench the thirst of greatness and douse the divine appointment in you. Fear, timidity, complacency and unbelief will render you in effective. No-one else may acknowledge the worth in you. Gods word is final. Allow him to break the barriers.

Faith is the spoon that stirs the gift in you, holiness is the wind that fans the flame, grace is the sustenance that preserves you and perseverance unleashes your potential.
