Jealous For Jesus

Betrothed to one husband, Christ our Lord
Jealous for him, I can afford

Where I’m at today, will be better tomorrow
My love for Him, will bring no sorrow

“For I, the Lord your God am a jealous God”
Showing mercy to thousands, who travel His sod

The message of the cross I will cherish
Secure, my soul never to perish

My faith, not from wisdom of man
But resting in His presence, best I can

Father, your jealousy burn like fire
But your word will lead, with heavenly inspire

From Isaiah, “I was found by those who did not seek Me”
All day long you’re outstretched hand, wanting my heart to see

All we like sheep have gone astray
We each have turned to our own way

But through my fall, salvation came to me
Jealous love brought life anew from Thee

Now my jealous love for Jesus makes my way true
Never fearful of mankind, His Spirit will see me thru

Be jealous for Jesus, reach from within His love
Good Shepherd for life, our Father’s gift from above AMEN
