Those Tears

Those tears come
As does the rain
Yet it does not mean
That the sun won’t shine again

Those tears wash away
The hurt and the pain
And all of the disappointments
Of your flesh, trying to gain

The flesh gets hurt
When it can’t have its way
But it is the spirit that gives life
And gives to you new joy for each day

Those tears are the way
That washes clean
The soul and the spirit
And even in you all that is unseen

Those tears are just like the rain
Cleansing everything in sight
That got dirty throughout the day
And blocked your sunlight

Those tears
I see every one
I shed many
When I gave you my Son

Those tears are but a sign
Of your yearning heart
To really find life
Yet in this I must be a part

Those tears of pain will cease
With the hurt from all the loss and mourning
Because weeping may endure for a night
But joy will come, in your new morning.
