One Nation Under God?

Psalm 9:17 “The wicked shall be turned into hell,
and all the nations that forget God.” (KJV)

How long will we keep saying we’re one nation under God?
If we really told the truth we’d admit that that’s a fraud.
How long will we keep printing on our coins, “In God we trust”?
If trust in God were bridges, we’d have fallen down from rust.

Washington does all it can to take God from us all.
Commandments are banned from courtyards much less a manger stall.
Congress asks Chaplains to pray before making stupid rules.
But it’s not allowed for graduates as they leave the public schools

The Bible can’t even be taught as respected literature.
The A.C.L.U. will sue but their motives I’m sure are pure.
One child might be harmed or offended in some way.
They care not that our God is offended every day.

We say it in our pledge and print it on our money.
To those who see the truth, it is not very funny.
We teach children about sex and toss the Bible out the door.
We’ve turned our backs on God till His blessings are no more.
