Don't run away from who you are,
   in the mirror, what you see.
Don't run away from who you are;
   from what I made you to be.

Jeremiah's life set the precedent,
   as recorded in My word.
All I've made is no accident,
   as Creator and Lord.
Who you are is who I've meant,
   with all that I gave you.
Like My Son, Whom I had sent,
   this is just as true.

You have talents, unearthly gold,
   as I have bequeathed.
Give them to Me. They will unfold
   and you will see they're from Me.
I have more, spiritual gifts,
   for you at second birth.
To be like Me in resounding bliss,
   to grant My Spirit mirth.
Just come to Me, in My Son's name;
   all who come, I receive.
Then be about My good game,
   and I will help you to see.

All so born, by My Spirit,
   I will give My eyes.
Take My word. Please, hear it;
   for grace, be not surprised.
As I gave My precious Son,
   spent by purest blood,
I give all that We'd be one,
   washed by gracious flood.

I promise to turn all for good,
   however evil in your life.
Make My word as your food;
   I will make you like Christ.
Be ready to share in His trials;
   they will bind you to Him.
Our love will be there, all the while;
   even when you sin.

Then you'll see for Whom you're saved;
   you'll praise Me for My grace.
You'll be holy, of heavenly grade;
   in your life you'll see My face.

So don't run away from who you are;
   be as I've made you to be.
Don't run away from who you are;
   for you'll have run from Me.
