Another's Song

Is it you?
Or is it me?
Did the devil get in?
Because we have no unity

So we have a challenge
What will we do?
Do we argue it out?
Or God's truth, pursue?

We can enter into contention
As each tries to prove their point
Or we can go to God
And find the truth that he will anoint

We can go to man
And another opinion we will gain
So now we are confused
And no victory does remain

Do we have to be right
No matter the cost?
To have our own way
Though a friend we just lost

Sometimes being right
Actually will make us wrong
It takes the Holy Ghost
To turn the light bulb on

We didn't have revelation
Until the Lord made it, to us, plain
So we cannot expect another to know
Until Lord reveals to them, just the same

It takes spirit to spirit
To produce life
Mind to mind
Just produces much strife

We wait for the anointing
As then God does speak
And the light goes on
For the answers we do seek

Being right
Can be so wrong
Especially when being right
Takes another's song.
