God's Unseen Plans

We oftentimes place value
On that which we depend.
We sometimes will place value
On some whom God will send.

Others at a given time,
We see as just a pain;
A thorn, to just be rid of
Should they bother us again.

But all are sent into our lives
To make us vessels true
So God may use us for the work
To do what He will do.

Surrendering to painful things
Allowing Him to rule
Often is unpleasant
And not what we would choose.

But in His Word is written
"God is not a liar"
We shall come forth as finest gold
But there must be a fire.

Fire purifies the gold
Makes ashes out of wood
All we trust into His Hands
He'll work out for our good.

Faith is not faith when we can see
The path that lies ahead
Uncertain times increase our trust
If by His Hand we're led..

Help me trust you, Jesus
Although I cannot see
The plan You have is perfect
And fashioned just for me.
