Words, Works and the World

Many believe what they know nothing about. We are warned not to lay up treasures here in the earth but in heaven. When we lay up treasures of God we put on the whole armor of God and run the race set before us with patience. Everyday a base is added that we must make it safely to. We have to make it to the next base safe also and continue the race. We leave bases behind because we are trying to make it to home plate. Just like in baseball we are trying to score points but it is up to us to follow the plan of God just as the ball players follow the plan of their coach. Our ultimate goal is to score a homerun but if we make it to base and someone else help along the way we can still get there. So it is with Christ, He came to redeem us and help us to get to the home plate again. Home plate is Heaven and Heaven is where our heavenly Father dwells awaiting our arrival. We would love to hit a home run, but this way is full of bases that we need to get to. This race is not to the swift or to the strong but to them that endure to the end, the same shall be saved. Salvation is at the home plate because of the home run Jesus made for all of mankind. Jesus made safe passage for us again to see our heavenly Father. All we have to do is follow the plan of salvation. Jesus posted the equity in our spiritual house. He now calls for us to be the observer of men’s justice and righteousness which is in God.

Luke 21:34 and take heed to yourselves lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness and cares of this life and so that day comes upon you unawares

John 12:43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

Matthew 7:20 wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Romans 12:2 and be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Many believe what they know not. As Christians we believe we will die and go to heaven. Many believe there is no heaven but they can’t account for all that has been concerning Christianity. Many believe what they know not. They speak things that have been spoken to them yet it never enters their heart where God will come in and deliver them. Something many Christians as well as the unsaved do; is to speak things they know not to be true. Many things we speak is spoken to be hurtful. We curse; yes our mouths are full of cursing my brothers and sisters. We are deceitful and fraudulent and even under our tongues is mischief and vanity. We talk about things that do not edify Christ just as Michal in II Samuel. She tried to belittle David as King. David praised the Lord and she was lurking in the palace waiting on David as he came to bless his household where she could bring him back down to earth. Halfway Christians don’t understand or do the Word for they haven’t yet learned to obey the Word. In obeying the Word we establish the Kingdom of God in the earth realm. This was God’s intended purpose when He created and made man that they would praise Him and bring glory to Him.

II Samuel 7:8-9 God spoke to the Prophet Nathan to go to David and deliver the message as to who David was in the sight of the Lord. God said He had taken David from keeping the sheep to being the ruler over His people. He was with David wherever he went. He cut off all of David’s enemies and made David name great like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth. David was chosen of God to do the specific work he did and God kept him safe, gave him rest from his enemies and made him a great house. Why do God speak to us? God told David through His Prophet Nathan that even after David days are fulfilled, he would sleep with his Fathers and God would set up David’s seed after him to carry on the work in establishing His Kingdom in the earth, namely the Messiah would come through David’s lineage. This same Nathan also came with bad news to David when his son would die because of the sin committed in his conception. God had to get David delivered before he pronounced his blessing. David’s son however would build a house for God and he would be His Father and he shall be God’s son. His sin however would be punished like the children of men with stripes and with the rod of men. God also promised David that His mercy shall not depart away from David’s son. God had previously in (I Samuel 15:23) taken his mercy away from Saul, the people’s choice for king. David was God’s choice to be king of Israel. Nathan the Prophet came with the Word from God and delivered to David the words according to the vision of God to him.

Every word God speaks will have evidence to follow it. David was chosen for his journey. The Word followed David does the Word follow us today? Has God confirmed His Word in us to be true? We have to watch that we don’t speak evil into the lives of others. Those words tend to have a reverse effect on our lives. We speak those things that come out of our hearts. We harm each other with words. We speak words that; is not fruitful such as untruthfulness, malice, imputing of bad motives, slander, thoughtless tale bearing, as well as intentional false witness. The tongue devises mischiefs like a sharp razor in our mouths. We are to keep our tongue from evil and our lips from speaking guile.

We have to be careful of the words we speak out of our mouth; every word spoken carries a spirit behind it. We will find ourselves loving evil more good and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Our words devour rather than build up. A lying tongue is but for a moment but truth is established forever. In our Government the President is ill spoken of and many are against him and disrespect him even before the people. But in God’s rule he is to be respected and honored as the man that walks in the position. The position calls for the President to speak over the nation and speak blessings upon it. They are disrespecting the highest office in the nation. Michal disrespected David and she was cursed and never had a child. Our blessings are cut off when we disrespect one another in Christ Jesus.

Our vision will be cut off and we become unusable to God unless we repent and is really sorry for the things we have done out of order or spoken that never should have been. Watch them dogs that lie in our hearts. What is talking about something if it does not edify? Garbage for the trash can! Death and life is in the power of the tongue. The words of a talebearer are as wounds and they go gown into the innermost parts. It’s time to stop the babbling. We are not to curse our leaders, not even in our thoughts. Evil people have nothing good to say about anything, for out of the heart the mouth will speak. We have nothing good to say if we are full of unrighteousness. Our words follow our lifestyle. We have to watch those demons of hearsay also. (James 1:26, if any man among you seems to be religious, and bridle not his tongue, deceives himself for his religion is vain). Even though the tongue is a little member it boasts of great things. The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The wise in heart shall be called the prudent and the sweetness of the lips increase learning. A fool doesn’t carry excellent speech for they don’t spare their words. A man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. Keeping our tongues is a practiced virtue among men of understanding.

Let’s look at works! The works of God are all things created and done by the wisdom and power of God. We can understand Michal putting David down with her words. She grew up hearing the people praise David more than her father Saul, who was king of Israel. She had this in her heart that her own father would somehow be remembered. Although he was king of Israel, David was always praised as though he was already the king. To speak to David now manifested what was in her heart for all those years. Imagine having someone around you that is not really for you! Their affection is really somewhere else rather than with you. Michal had a form of love for David but she loved her father more. Michal needed a transformation. She was no longer with her father, nor was he alive but in her heart were the things of her father kept. How much more the works of God being in our heart then? If the Word is in us we don’t have a problem with doing God’s work. Whatever our hands find to do we do it, for by our fruits man knows that we are of our Father, God. We shall however take heed that we are not trying to build a name for ourselves rather than God.

The beauty of the Lord should be upon us and established through the works of our hands. We are not justified by hearing the Word but by being a doer of the Word. It is God that increases His work, but we have to prove our works. We are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works which God has ordained that we should walk in them. It is God which works in us both to will and to do of his good pleasure that we be fruitful in every good work and increase in the knowledge of God. (Hebrews 10:24 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works). God has called us and will make us perfect in every good work to do his will, working in us that which is well pleasing in his sight. Our work follows us to the grave and beyond. (Revelation 22:14, blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have a right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city).

We have been taught through the Word of God how we are not to give in to the world which in this term is the sphere of evil that is enmity with God. We can’t serve God and man; for no man can serve two masters either we will love God or love the world and all it encompasses. What in the world do we want when we have everything in Christ Jesus? The world, the heaven and earth was created perfect but mankind has abused what the world has to offer us. We were created for inhabitation in the world to rule it, but the world soon overtook man with the entity of satanic means. We have sold out God’s creation. The world lies under divine condemnation; man has caused it to be in darkness and in bondage to Satan and it shall pass away. Our hearts are overcharged with the things of the earth. We have set our affections on things in the earth rather than God. We love the world and its praise more than God.

Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove; what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. Before the world was, God was. Before man was, God was. God is the Father of all fathers; the God of heaven and earth. We can’t stumble or be rash with the blessings of God. David uncovered himself before the people and encouraged them to also praise God as he did. The Ark of the Covenant was back in their possession. It’s hard to see someone else with what God gave us to bless us. What God send us to bless us we can’t let no one take it, misuse it or abuse it. Uzzah put forth his hands to the Ark of God and it angered God. God smote him for his rashness of error and Uzzah died. God appoints a place for his people and plants them there. He wants us to have a place of our own that we move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict us anymore, as beforetime. God confirms us and establishes our goings. God is our Father. He loves us and has redeemed us after we had messed up in the earth. He could have put us to death but He kept us alive and gave us hope of eternal life again through the work of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

How do we so willingly allow others to take us away from the love of God? God’s love is the only love that we can put total and complete trust in; for His love has been proven over and over again. (I John 2:15 love not the world, neither the things that are in the world). They say, what they say, let them say. This is all those that have something to say to you about nothing. If it is not about the Word, Works, or World of Jesus Christ we don’t have to listen. We need to turn a deaf ear to people that want’s to serve sin in the world and desire company. Let them say for what God has done and is doing we should praise God. For what He is going to do; praise Him. (II Samuel 6:20-21 then David returned to bless his household and Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David and said; how glorious was the King of Israel today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovered himself. And David said to Michal, it was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father and before all his house to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel; therefore will I play before the Lord). People always have something to say about what works we are doing for the Lord. It’s a trick of Satan to get us to underhandedly curse God. If we are doing a work for Christ, we are to do it with all of our might.

What are we willing to do for God in Word, Works, or in the World? God is waiting on us! Man unlike anything else was put together uniquely. We were perfectly manicured. We need to build up on a right foundation in Christ Jesus; there is no more time for imperfection. Perfect practice makes perfect. If we read and study the Word, seek God’s face and turn from our wickedness we will put man in remembrance of how perfect man was before he yielded himself to sin. We live in the world but we don’t have to be of the world; submitting to the evil that lurks around in the world. If we find ourselves being overthrown in the world, let’s go back to the Word. We were a spoken Word and we still need the Word to keep us from being overthrown by Satan’s devices. We must know who we are in Christ to understand why we were perfectly manicured. The Devil seeks to ruin our foundation by putting cracks therein where he can slip through and pervert our minds. Satan goes to all lengths to undermine the very essence of God in our lives to keep us from the Word. He works hard to keep the works of God from coming forth. And his will and desire is to pull us away from God through the use of deception in the world. Satan seeks God’s position in the lives of man. He wants to use man to pervert the Gospel, forsake God’s with a lie. He tries to break man’s allegiance to God and tear down man’s faith to believe that God is God and besides Him there is no other god. Don’t let Satan kill God at the door post of your heart
