Now in the right corner, life stands in wait
to present to us what it will bring
With gloves well fitted and ready to challenge
as it beckons for the bell to ring

There aren't no limitations of rounds to fight
for they come for us to choose
No rules were planned for each little bout
but, left up to us rather win or lose

Now the first flies by with such a force
trying to land with it's first blow
Aiming with a vengeance at we the target
attacking self-esteem to bring us low

For in the rounds in life we must have some
to offset the winds and rain
So when they arrive we can override them
and with a little hope we can obtain

Our opponent doesn't stop with just one try
but will study our every move
And work hard as it can to knock us off guard
for it knows what we want to prove

Now it's not so much for, the on-lookers
but, it's what we have within
And rather they coach us, or spur us on
we must fight on unto the end

Our lives are like being in a sparring match
and it's to see what we're all about
And even though we didn't pick this brawl
we can learn from each and every bout

We can't look for it to be always fair
it's tactics can be very rude
Get punched in the back, kicked around like sacks
oh it does have it's magnitude

Now just incase you've pulled off your gloves
put them back on and take your place
Don't let life cause you to throw in the towel
but, show it how in what you can face
