The Name to Call!
I know 911 is the number we call when things get really bad, sometimes their help comes through and comes in right on time to save the day, some times they come in just a second too late and even when they do come in just one time, sometimes they are powerless to help in some situations.
Every one has known disappointment from quarters that over promised and under produced not because they really want to (though some do), but because they are just incapacitated in life’s tough circumstances.
However, there’s a name you can call when things get really bad, there is a refuge that never fails, a stronghold that all can run to in time of tempest. We are enjoined to call on Him when life gets truly hard and tough (Psalm 62; 8), at all times to pour our hearts to Him who is always on time and forever able to save the day; a super-hero of a kind!
Whenever, wherever, whatever, we can with boldness and unparallel confidence call on Him because He even Him bid us come! What else will we do when faced with the questions life always asks? Cry? Worry? Be full of anxiety? No! He said we should not be anxious and worried about anything but instead, we should let our experiences (or whatever it is) shape our worries into a call; letting Him know our concerns are (Philippians 4:6-7). Is it wonderful that He wants to throw His weight around in our favour? And men! He is really heavy, He’s got all the machineries, He’s got all the connections and He wants to use them for you, only if you could call. Here is what He says; Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me (Psalms 50:15). Brilliant! Whenever He comes through to us, He is glorified and He is pleased; it is his pleasure to lend a hand whenever we call for it.
With this at the back of my mind I can cheer any time I am faced with a challenge that is higher than I because He that is able to do exceedingly far and above whatever life demands of me is on my side and this is the attitude he wants me to keep (I Thess. 5:16-18, Ephesians 3:20). At these times when I call on Him, He has promised to show me marvellous and wondrous things that I could never have figured out on my own (Jeremiah 33:3). I am full of confidence not because I have all the answers to life’s knotty questions, but know the Answer!
Whether it is my job, my wife, my car, or my health I have a challenge with I know the Answer and He is just a call away. Even if it’s my county, my state, my governor or even my CEO that needs some help, I can put a call through on their behalf; my Answer is that inclusive!
Now you too can be sure to be protected from being a victim, He-Jesus will always be there for you, never leaving you without an answer. He never sleeps, He never slumbers, He is always on time to save the day; He is the super-hero of a kind! He will answer when you call, He says when you call on Him, he will never hang up on you (John 6:37). He is a very present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1) and right now whatever it is, stop the worrying, the crying, the fretting, or what it is you are doing and give Him a call. Just pour out your heart to Him in loving sincerity and He will do the impossible, this I am confident of.
Call Him right now and later let me know what He has done for you. JESUS is the name to call, remember it is His pleasure to get your call!
