Thinking back over the day today, I thought of what God had shown me, for this particular day. One of my friends at work had a birthday today. She is a beautiful lady. I tell her all the time, but she does not see it. She is a true beauty inside and out. As I watched her open her gifts, her eyes lit up with excitement. Oh my stars, this pretty lady with her black hair and dark eyes was even more beautiful, if that is possible.
She said we made her feel special. She is! I thought about that and it makes me want to do that for others. Most people are more pretty or handsome when they smile. I want to make them smile, but I want to make them feel special. How do I do that? By showing them as much of Jesus that I can. Jesus makes us feel special.
So now each day, I want to start my day with, who can I bless today? What can I do for them that will put that beautiful smile on their face and make them feel special? I have said it before. God uses people to bless other people. Through me, I want someone to see the love of Jesus, in the blessing that I can give. It may be a card, a phone call, text, email, a compliment, a word of encouragement. Just letting them know that I am thinking of them. Anyway that I believe will bless each individual person in their own way.
I want to be used to glorify God. I want people to have that excitement in their eyes. Yesterday, I took my cousin a little pill case for her medicine, and it was her favorite color. She is very ill and is fighting a huge battle. She looked at me with those dark circles under her eyes and when she saw it, her eyes lit up too. I encouraged her in the Lord and told her we are going to get that miracle. That's what I'm talking about! Jesus working through me, to show His love.
God has shown me something I can do for Him, that I am capable of doing and making a huge difference in the lives of others. I'm already deciding what to do for tomorrow.
