How come 'abbreviated' is such a long word?

A reminder -- we will be on vacation from 10-13 thru 10-24. There will be no new editions of E-Cheer during this time.

OK, let's make a list of a items of technology that have vanished
from our existence. Here are a few of mine -- you'll have some of
your own. 1) 78 and 33-1/3 rpm records. I have recordings of my
early quartet days that I can't play because I have no way to play 78
rpm records. 2) Real dials on telephones. 3) Mimeograph
machines. 4) Distributors on car engines. 5) Mechanical
typewriters. 6) Ticker Tape machines -- this made more money
for Edison than anything he invented.

Obsolesence is a way of life. We even have planned obsolescence
in some products. To not have obsolescence is to not have progress.
Progress is usually positive, but sometimes we wonder about the
claimed benefits.

In a world of constant change, one thing remains constant and sure
-- our Bible and the God who wrote it. The basic truths of our
Bible remain relevant to every generation, including ours. It is like
a perpetual motion machine -- it keeps on ticking. You can
absolutely depend on it and the God behind it. We appreciate
products that are backed up by a guarantee. Our Bible is backed up
by the best -- GOD! Trust Him and His Word!

I don't know what you are going through today but hang on to Psa.
119:50 (nlt), "Remember your promise to me, for it is my only
hope. Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my
troubles." Depend on it!
