GO ON.
My feet may blister and swell
My hands may be numb and paralyzed
My body may not take another step
But my heart will go on...

My vision of paradise may fail
My joy of winning may cease
My taste of glory may sour
But my faith will go on...

Though I have come unto Mount Nebo
And stand upon my little Pisgah;
Reviewing life’s small victories and defeats
Gazing upon the promised land with entry denied,
Yet my faith will go on...

Surely, now I quit life’s stage
And the requiem tolls like
The soundtrack of a comic tragedy
Amidst the silent ovation of wet-eyed spectators
My spirit will go on...

Until I stand beyond the veil
Beholding his glory and cherubim
Until I dip my feet in the glassy sea
And eat of the tree of life
My spirit will go on...

Though in heaven there should be no cries
When Christ holds me to his loving bosom
I shall melt into a ball of tears
When I am consoled by his nail-pierced hands
My spirit will go no further.
I will go no further.
