As the moon shined through my window
giving such a beautiful light
And it warmed my heart at that moment
as I stood there in the night

God is the sun and the moon
and he controls the stars above
He is our Savior that gives us grace
now, settle down in his love

O' soul be still and listen
let your heart know, that he is God
Through the pouring rain he can keep us
and that he is on our side

Be calm little hearts and listen
settle in his place of peace
And let us wait in silence for his help
to cause the storms to cease

Lay in his arms of comfort
let his strong shield be your brace
And put all our cares upon him
let us kneel before his face

He says you are mine and I am thine
and that you are in my care
And I'm holding you up with my hands
you see, I was always there

Nothing can pull up, what God has planted
we are rooted and grounded deep
Now O' hearts rejoice, and be thankful
for he never slumbers or sleep
