As believers we have many things that we can be grateful for, some of the things we can be most grateful for are the things that we have acquired through our Lord Jesus Christ. He has given us precious things that no money in the world can buy he has blessed us beyond all measure, he has given us the finer things in life, We as believers are to gain knowledge of these things and walk in them and in all this we must also come to the understanding that we are the redeemed and we have a saviour and God in our lives who is far greater than anything and anyone.

Security
Ephesians 3:18-19(NIV)
A part of Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians was that they would be rooted in love and know the love of God because the love of God would be their security

What kind of love should you be secure in?
The God kind of love

•John 3:16 -Stipulates the nature of God’s love for all mankind

•God gave up his most prized possession that was a demonstration of love

•1 John 3:1 God loves us so much that he gives us the privilege of being called his children

•God loves us unconditionally and accepts us as his precious children.

•When we know how much God loves us we will then interpret the difficult situations that we face in our lives from a different perspective

•Knowing that God loves me brings about the assurance that he will see me through the difficult situation that I’m facing.

•1 John 4:18-The love of God casts out the fear of the possibility of things not working out

Identity
2 Corinthians 5:17
•When you are in Christ you have a new identity you are a new type of creature.

John 1:12
•Identity is defined by Christ and found in him
•Iam a child of the Most High God

•Iam a new creation

•Iam a spirit being who is created in the image of God therefore Iam like God

Freedom
John 8:36
Galatians 5:1
•I walk in a level of freedom that is tied to what Christ has done on the cross

•Iam set free by Christ I no more live in bondage

•Iam free from guilt and shame

•Iam free from the fear of death

Peace
John 14:27, Phillipians 4:7
•I have the peace of Christ which comes from Jesus who gave us his peace-the peace that surpasses understanding.

Joy
Nehemiah 8:10
•The joy of the Lord is our strength

•We can have an inexpressible joy in the midst of difficult times, this is an unusual thing but it is offered to every believer.

Eternal life
John 3:36
•We will live forever, those who have accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour

•The finished work on the cross has given us eternal life.

Hope
Romans 8:28
•All things work together for Good in whatever situation we face in life, this is the hope that we carry, we walk knowing that God can turnaround any bad situation and make it work to our advantage.

Authority
Mark 11:22-23
•We are able to speak into situations in our lives and command them to cease in the name of Jesus. We are able to come under the authority of God and speak things into existence.

Forgiveness of Sins
Psalm 103:12
•We are forgiven of all our sins-God does not remember them no more

•we are able to start afresh

Prayer
Heavenly father help us to fully know that of which you have given to us as believers, may we walk as those who are the sons and daughters of the most high God. May we never look down upon the finer things you have freely blessed us with. We ask all this in Jesus name. Amen.
