Acts 3:3-4 Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. 4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said , Look on us.

Sometimes we're offended by the things people we see everyday ask of us. To them, that is life, yet to us we know from where real life comes from; Jesus Christ the son of the living God.
It would seem that they are mocking us or belittling us, but we cannot expect the blind that sit at the gate; the lame that ask for alms to think of us in any other fashion other than to perceive us as ‘mere’ men of God.

Hence, if we be angered or frustrated by their calls and instigations; we are falling to their size. I like one preacher who says we are like eagles that can fly higher than any other birds; when we face pestilence from crows and small birds we ought to rise to a higher level that they may not reach us. If we stick around to reciprocate or prove or fight; we become like they are.

We have to stand on who we are and never succumb to give others who we are not. It may be 'selfish' to not extend a hand and give money; yet it is selfless to give Christ and share his love with those who deem him otherwise. When we stand on faith, we're sure to win the heart of God. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen!
