How Do I Praise Thee?

To speak with my heart and soul
To seek what is deep within me
To listen to the serenity around me
That’s how I would praise Thee

To love the life so generously given
To embrace Your gift with all my being
To explore my world that is Your creation
That’s how I would praise Thee

To sing joyously to the sound of the wind
To skip and jump under the pouring rain
To laugh and cry and just keep on living
That’s how I would praise Thee

To raise my voice when no one is listening
To lift my arms and make an offering
To open my heart and let You come in
That’s how I would praise Thee

To say ‘thank you, Lord’ every single day
To walk with You every step of the way
To kneel and pray at the end of the day
That’s how I would praise Thee

To share my gift of words to others
To write about Your love to all my brothers
To be a messenger like Your little angels
That’s how I would praise Thee.
