Encouragement

Many Christians are at war with their own personal struggles. There are, spiritually speaking, two types of people: sinners, and sinners saved by grace. How does God view us when we struggle with issues in our lives, when we have addictions, bad destructive habits, or ungoldy behaviors that we know are wrong, want to get rid of, but just don't have victory over them?

There is no condemnation. (Romans 8:1) God does not look down on us when we fall into some sinful behavior. He doesn't say, "Look what you did. You fell again."

The Holy Spirit holds our hand. (Psalm 37:24)

When we seek wisdom, He does not treat us with reproach. This means He does not think of all the reasons why He should not give us wisdom. (James 1:5)

If we endure temptation and testing, we will receive a crown of life. (James 1:12)

God helps us in our weaknesses, when we pray.
(Romans 8:26)

The Holy Spirit will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able to bear, and will provide a way of escape. (I Corinthians 10:13)
