Through the Eyes of Faith

II Corinthians 4:18 “While we look not at the things which are seen,
but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are
temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (KJV)

Some things are only temporal,
While some things are eternal.
Help me Lord to not be blind.
Keeping these clear within my mind.

Perusing only what will last.
Rewards of these will then be vast.
But here my good friend is a hitch.
To know for sure just which is which.

The answers are within God’s Word,
Also the sermons we have heard.
But that which sets all men apart,
Is if we take these truths to heart.

The eyes of faith discerns between
To help us choose what is not seen.
It’s here our faith will lead to rest,
By choosing what God says is best.
