Worldwide Christian Persecution. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you and you will be hated by all nations for my name sake”. Matthew 24:9.

Christian persecution is on the rise worldwide. Many have lost their lives in the process. In Nigeria alone, the number of religious outbreaks is alarming, and all, targeted against the Christians.

In 2009, the Boko Haram sect rose against the Christians, giving them the option of either denouncing Christ or die.

In the process, many faithful including one Pastor Orjih were beheaded, others set ablaze or shot dead.
The rising hostility against Christians has assumed a deadly posture, Christian symbols like the cross and ten commandments are becoming offensive to unbelievers.

In nations like U.S, they are subjects of litigation. In Pakistan, militant Taliban group have threatened to kill Christians and burn their homes, if they refuse to denounce their faith.

In Bogota, Colombia, Pastor Manuel Camacho was shot five times by the leftist rebels in central Colombia, including several other Christians on October 4, 2009.

In Pakistanis Punjab district, an 11 year old Christian girl, Nadia Iftikhar was ruthlessly beaten to coma by her teacher, who is a Muslim. Little Nadia challenged her teacher’s statement “that all Pakistanis are Muslims”. She rejected it by saying that she is a Pakistani and a Christian. Her boldness infuriated her teacher, who gave her a beaten, that landed her in the Hospital.

In Iran, two young women, who converted to Christianity, Marzieh Amirizadeh Esmaeilabad, 30, and Maryam Rustampoor, 27 were detained in March 2009 for practicing Christianity.
