Incurable Diseases. “And there will be pestilences” Matthew 24:7.

Pestilences are incurable sicknesses. The news all over the world is about new forms of sicknesses springing up and mostly incurable. These sicknesses have reduced our first class Pharmaceutical Company to mere college laboratories.

Malaria a common sickness of the tropics have developed resistance to Chloroquine , which have made Pharmaceutical Companies develop another name, known as artesunat and the likes, to combat malaria.

The outbreak of virus related sicknesses is becoming disturbing. AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) has, and is still claiming millions of lives worldwide.

The Ebola and Machupo Virus conferred many to the grave. The SARS outbreak in Asia claimed many lives. And of recent the bird and swine flu took their toll on human race.

Cancer, diabetics, heart disease, liver problems and kidney failures and other sicknesses are contributing daily to the number of deaths.

From Biblical perspective, such outbreaks are curses for disobedience, perversion, and lawlessness. Deuteronomy 28:15-68. We must retrace our footsteps.

Natural Disasters. “And there will be ………… earthquakes in various places”. Matthew 24:7. The general word for earthquakes, floods, typhoon, landslides, volcanic eruptions and their likes is natural disaster.

Virtually everyday, natural disasters occur in one place or the other”. And whenever they occur, they leave tales of sorrow and death.
In the past, natural disasters have been occurring, but, of recent, there seem to be an increase.

The Philippine experienced four storms concurrently in the month of September and October, 2009 which left 10,000 homeless, properties destroyed and many lives lost.
The storms nicknamed Typhoon Mirinae, Ketsana, Parma, hit the cities of Manila, Quezon, Laguna, and Santa Cruz leaving 900 people dead.

In 2005 the United States experienced one of the deadliest, hurricane ever; “Hurricane Katrina” which caused great damage of lives and properties. It took 1,836 lives and damaged properties estimated at 18.2 billion dollars.

The Sulawesi Island of Indonesia lost thousands of lives, especially tourists, and rendered many homeless to the Tsunami disaster. And in September 2006, a typhoon named Shanshan hit South Western Japan and left many dead and hundreds wounded.

In 2010, Haiti experienced a devastating earthquake that almost submerged the small Island country. Pakistan experienced a devastating flood which rendered over 14 million people homeless and over 2000 people dead.

And China suffered a devastating landslide, which killed a lot and left many homeless. Who knows, may be, God is conveying a message to us that we are yet to understand. Read more in my e-book catalogue of the last days
