The Stench of Sin
The Church and Man in The Earth

What is man? Man is a spirit with a soul that lives in a body. God’s Spirit that he created for man in the Creation was to rule man’s life. The Holy Spirit must rule the Human Spirit which rules the soul which directs the body. Man’s spirit can only be distinct and working when they line up their lives and personality so that they may be sustained by God. It is God’s Spirit that allows man to interact and move in the earthly and spiritual realms. The Holy Spirit was always to rule man’s spirit which is the command center of God. Now man has a spirit, he has a living soul which dictates its present life and future destination. The soul is he free moral agent of eternity. It is the headquarters of man. The human body is the physical biodegradable tangible operating vessel of man. The human body is the temporary housing of the living soul and human spirit, the flesh. When man will line his heart up it is with the connection of the human spirit and living soul. When he lines his flesh up it is with the living soul and human body. The heart seeks and longs to find God. When the operation is replaced with sin they don’t desire God, won’t seek God and care less about finding God. The flesh covers the domain of our fallen nature that is subject to sin. It’s time we get our human spirit, living soul and human body lined up with God before we self-destruct.

What is God really like, do we know? Every man, woman, boy, and girl should be concerned about what God is really like; the reason being that every area of our lives, our behavior, our attitudes toward others, our outlook on life will be affected by our concept of God. No concept will ever influence our lives as much as what we conceive God to be like and this is most obviously true in the area of the life of man as he walks out his life here in the earth.

These are critically times we live in and it is just as critically important for us to know what God is like because we cannot understand who God is without understanding what God is like, and the more we know about Him the more we will want to yield our lives to him. Furthermore no one can fully appreciate Jesus Christ and what He accomplished on the cross without knowledge of what God is really like. Because He desires that we know what He is like, He has provided a special revelation of Himself to all humankind. That special revelation is the Bible. Every page of which is God revealing Himself to humanity and expressing His desire that all would come to know Him. God knows that if we really know what He is like, we will want a personal relationship with Him. Therefore we need to look to the Bible to find out what God is like. Since God reveals Himself through the Bible, it is only reasonable that information from it needs to be assimilated to build a sound foundation upon which to build our concept of what God is really like. How do we do this? We need to examine the nature, tri-unity, attributes, and virtues of God.

God is not a physical created being as man is, so He is not limited by a physical body and they that will worship Him will serve Him in their body but led by His Spirit. God is not personal; that is He is not a blind impersonal force. The Bible sometimes refer to God a having a heart, arms, feet, mouth, and other bodily parts because figurative language is necessary to describe God’s functions. The essence of God is not material but spiritual. God is infinite and cannot be contained in a body or building. Knowing that His nature and person would be very difficult for humankind to understand, God gave us a full revelation of Himself. He prepared a body for His Spirit to live in to be that perfect example. That body was that of Jesus Christ Himself come in the flesh and left His Holy Spirit hear in the earth to help man overcome the sin in the earth. In the beginning was the Word and the Word became flesh and dwell among man. There is only one God represented in three personalities. They are God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Trinity is used to express the truth of God’s person as taught in the Bible. Tri means God’s three-ness is emphasized, and -nity emphasizes His unity; therefore He is tri-unity. There is but one event in the entire Bible where all three personalities of the Godhead are manifested at the same time, Matthew 3:13-17.

There are many things about God that are mysterious and incomprehensible to finite man, particularly the fact that God is one yet He is three. If we could understand God in all that He does, we would be equal with Him in intelligence, and the great God we worship and serve would be greatly diminished. Many have tried to explain the trinity, God is like a man who is a Father, Son, and Husband. Or He is like an egg that is a yolk, a white, and a shell. Or, He is water, which can be ice, liquid, or vapor. However all such illustrations fall miserably short because there is not a man, an egg, or a chunk of ice in the entire world like God! He is a mystery beyond human comprehension.

God’s attributes, why would a God have attributes? Well because God is omnipresence He is such that the world cannot contain Him. He is above and beyond, as well as in everything. He is omniscience. No knowledge is unknown to God. There isn’t a secret word or deed hidden from Him. He knows the number of hairs on our heads. He doesn’t just count them, He knows them. Anything that is, has been, or will be, God knows. He never has to learn or find out anything. God is omnipotence. This means God is all powerful. Because God is omnipotent He is also sovereign or in supreme control of all creation. When we understand the omnipotence of God it is a great asset to our relationship with Him. God never changes his nature, although mankind has changed their nature. They are leaving God the only wise God to yield to the filthiness of sinful flesh daily. God is inactive in all that change themselves into other than what He made them. They are saying that God is not God and He doesn’t know what He wanted them to be; He made a mistake. God cannot change His method of achieving His purpose. He created man to the praise of His glory that man would be sanctified, lead his wife or be the head of the wife, bear fruit by means of children and be well accounted to God for all of their actions. God is immutable He changes not. His immutability is an endless variety of methods expressed so that man understand just as they would the same musical tune can be played in different keys. God is eternally immutable and at the same time eternally active and creative. We know that God is everywhere at the once, knows everything at once, controls everything at once, and always has and always will.

Knowing God is one God, who is spiritual, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, and immutable gives us but limited insight into what God is really like and what His attitude is towards us. We are inexcusable man. The virtue of God cannot escape us at any time. We need to rethink our actions and attitude towards God right now. We are on a destructive wave length right now. The virtue God have that is most uniquely that describe Him is Holiness, which means set apart or separated from sin. This shows that God is unlike any other being. Holiness speaks of His infinite perfection. Therefore, He cannot be influenced, touched, of defiled by evil. Yet holiness is much more than separation from evil, it is being distinct from all other beings. We need to once again come to an understanding of the holiness of God and how it should positively affect our lives that we will be effective in kingdom works. We need God’s righteousness. While holiness is principally concerned with the character or nature of God, righteousness has to do with God’s dealing with people. We must realize that we have the righteousness of God and not our own. In and of ourselves we are merely pilgrims running around in the earth with our heads between our legs; which is the wrong position a Christian should ever be found in. God’s holiness keeps us seeking for Him and His righteousness. Unrighteousness makes us beat ourselves up and we find ourselves unworthy. Sin takes us places we don’t want to go. Many never find their way back to God. They fail to face the reality of what they have done. The trick the devil use to keep them going away from God is the fact that he will place a little truth with a lie Truth is another virtue of God. He is trustworthy, infallible, and perfectly reliable. With God there is no falseness, falsehood, lack of consistency, or deceit. Not only is God true, but he actively reveals His truth to us that we may respond and come to know Him through it. Finally come God’s love, grace and mercy.

Love is the very nature of God. This is His attitude toward humanity to the extent there is no sacrifice He will not make to bring us to Him. God loves in a perfect way that is not dependent on the loveliness of the object. God’s love is also perfect in that He does not simply talk about love, as is the limit of many Christian’s love, be He acts in love. To know God only as all powerful and holy would leave the individual trembling in fear, but to know He is also a God of love brings hope to the heart. God’s grace is His favor and goodness to those who deserve His condemnation but God has elected to show favor and salvation to us instead. God is a god of mercy. Grace is not getting what we deserve, and mercy is getting what we do not deserve. In grace God forgives us our sin, and in His mercy He gives us eternal life.

God does all of this for his Creation, we can look around and see all of his work. The birds have a time of praise. The cows and horses not only gather when the rain is coming but they are protected that they die not in the increment weather. The trees move to God’s beat. Everything in the earth willingly obeys God but man. The animals touch each other only for reproducing purposes. Man rejects marriage, the taking of a wife. Not only do they reject taking a wife, some refuse a woman period. Not only do the woman likewise, they refuse to marry and reproduce in the earth the natural way; a man and a woman. God have not revealed himself in vain. There is a stench of sin in the earth that have corrupted the keepers of the earth. There are repercussions for our actions.

The sin of the Church is this; II Chronicles 7:14 if my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. It’s time out for the Church being comfortable with the world going to hell. It’s time the Church of Jesus Christ humble themselves, and pray. The Church has stop praying to God against sin and wickedness. How do we know this? Because of the conditions in the world man is given more to wickedness. Man honors themselves and their accomplishments more than they honor God. God is not being sought after in the hearts of Christians anymore. They want more of God alright, but it’s for things rather than His heart. The Christians will lie at the drop of a dime and think nothing of it. The Church has been brought low before the world because of the deeds of the Christian. We are to make a difference but we have given man more of an excuse to sin although he is still inexcusable. We have failed God in our lives. God’s standard has been compromised time and time again because we choose to give in to the flesh rather than repent and get back on track. We are subject to the Lord to live out His holiness in our lives. Will we make mistakes, sure? But we are not to continue these same mistakes over and over again. And when we don’t learn from our mistakes it means we have not grown up in Christ.

The sinner sins, they serve sin and love what they do. The Christian can take a lesson from the sinner in that they love what they do. It’s a pleasure for them to do what they do. If a sinner wrong you they will say they are sorry, but not the Christians. We are too caught up in ourselves and need to seek out God the more to find out how we can get rid of the stench of sin in the Church so we to can be the conduit God uses to save the dying world around us. If it took hard work for our forefathers to get the Word around the country think about Jesus with only sandals. Most times they went without money, didn’t know how they were going to eat or rest but they trusted God. It’s time we wake up church; we are the called and will give an account to God. We need to humble ourselves again and pray, seek God’s face and turn from our own wicked ways so we can help another turn from their wicked ways. How can we help someone else find the way when we are lost? God wants to forgive us our sin that we forgive others. God wants to heal the land and we are the conduits by which He will use. Become usable again and let’s take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a dying world.

God have chosen and sanctified us and put His Word in us to bring forth life and not death. God is calling man to Him and not us. We are not to have people love us; but give them the Word of God that they may know Him and love Him. Jesus said if He be lifted up, He would draw all men to Him. As we lift Jesus He will lift man. When we lay down our lives as Jesus has already done He will raise man from their iniquities. God chose us as parents to bring forth children and we are called to teach them, train them up in His Word. We are to teach them to love God, themselves and mankind. We are to teach them right from wrong. Teach them about the streets, sin, and sexual perversion. Many things happen to children because we only teach them to be good, obedient and respectful. Along with these things they need to be taught a lesson on everything so they can rightly discern what to avoid in their lives when they are away from the parents. Parents also are to teach the children to walk before God, do His Commandments, observing His statutes and His judgments. God wants to establish us again in righteousness. He wants our lives to be filled with joy, peace, and righteousness in the Holy Ghost that His kingdom will come full centered in our lives. The stench of sin will be destroyed forever instead of man facing destruction.

The stench of sin will lose its potency when we no longer neglect God and His love for us. Children will no longer be neglected. The Government heads will honor God and say no to the passage of legislation that upholds sin. The Church will once again call sin what it is; sin. All of the big businesses that steal from the poor will rethink their strategies. The industries in America that was created to bring money in with lying to the people will stop. The fever and disease of man to sell and use drugs will once again be put to rest when man come to love God like they should. Just like the drug addict is addicted and buys drugs the person who sells drugs is addicted to selling it. It’s a high for the police that work narcotics to catch the perpetrators on both sides because they love what they do. Church we have to pray for our policemen and all others that is out there that protects us that God will protect them. Church we have to pray against the spirit of murder, lying, stealing, cheating, those that covet one another, evil, envy, jealousy, strife, ignorance and all the other spirits that is rampant in the land.

We need our minds loosed from the Devil’s strongholds in our lives. We have not arrived yet. As long as we live we have to call on Jesus. A just man falls seven times and rises up again but the wicked shall fall into mischief. A nation that will not pray brings about things that God is not pleased with. Proverbs 6:16 these six things doth the Lord hate; yea, seven are an abomination unto him; a proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that devise wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaks lies, and he that sows discord among brethren. We have to be so careful because the road that leads to heaven is as a thin rope in the center of the highway.

What we call sin is not the only things that will take us to hell. An unprepared heart in man that is not ready to answer of the tongue to God is sin. All the ways of man that is clean in his own eyes when they have not been weighed in the Spirit is sin. When our works are committed to man and not God it is sin. Our motives and intents must be established in truth. Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord. All of our iniquity must be purged and when it is not we will not go unpunished. Iniquity can only be purged by mercy and truth and by the fear of the Lord men depart from evil. When a man’s ways please the Lord he makes even his enemies be at peace with him. We have to follow peace with all men, holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. When we fail to allow God to direct our paths we devise our own way. God orders our steps. When we are not thankful for our need being met it dishonors God. Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. How we go about to obtain things in life determines if it is right or not. We must be humble for it is better to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. The wise in heart shall be called prudent and the sweetness of the lips increases learning. Understanding is a well spring of life unto him that has it, but the instruction of fools is folly. The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips. Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. There is a way that seems right to a man, but the ends thereof are the ways of death. The ungodly digs up evil and in his lips are fire ready to kill.

He sows strife by whispering lies that separate chief friends. They entice each other to the way that is not good for man. The stench of sin is slowly destroying the world and the Christian is being caught up in sin that causes us to lose out with God. We are to rule the earth and have dominion over it; but seems like the earth has the rule. Man fails today to rule their spirits therefore they are not able to take the nation back to God. He that covers a transgression seeks love; but he that repeats a matter separates friends causing a stench of sin. Contention brings on strife. We the people of God have to get it together. Either we love God or we don’t.
