The Tabernacles on High Jesus Wants to Stop By
Jesus wants to stop by the church and in reality we don’t mind. Just when you come Lord please don’t forget your Santa sleigh to load us down with your blessings. Everyone has a story, something to say, and their own interpretation of the Holy Word. They argue just like the Pharisees and other Chief leaders of Jesus day that what they had learned was the Gospel. Does it really matter what the Word meant in whatever the language? The most important thing is that we the people of God understand what the Bible is saying and apply it to our hearts. Many read the Bible everyday but what are they doing, just reading it off the page but not properly applying it to their lives.
We get a Word from God and it comes to us first. We catch the first fruits of our message. The reading and study of God’s Word is a life-long endeavor that never grows old. If we have not experienced salvation through Jesus Christ our spiritual eyes has never been opened. God loves us and wants to come to our rescue but we don’t have genuine desires. Do we in one or two times a week. God wants to come in and do a work of salvation, not just to drop drippings of blessing in our lives. God wants us to love him for him. He wants us to really come to know Him in a more significant way. We are not what people see on the outside but what we are on the inside. The human body, a physical biodegradable tangible operating vessel of man is the temporary housing of the living soul and human spirit. Our tabernacles is going to give up the ghost one day and that outer appearance, that shell of that body will be laid to rest.
We must go to God for forgiveness and cleansing from our sins.
God is not impressed with if we can pray and bring the roof down in church but what we do when we leave church. Jesus wants to be taken to the streets, to the hungry, to the homeless, to all those that need salvation. Jesus can only stop by the Church when we bring him to Church. People are the Church. He is on the inside of us. What’s on the pages of the Bible is life, life with God. The Holy Spirit works in our heart to convict us of our sin and to help us receive forgiveness through Christ. This same Holy Spirit will continue to work in our heart as we study the Word. What is being said here is that we don’t discount the intellect, for faith quickens the intellect and makes it responsive to the voice of the Spirit. What we need to bring to Christ is a genuine desire to know He says in the Word and means. We must open our minds to receive all that God has for us and apply it to our hearts.
A big house in the country will not put what the Word does; for the Word is life and that more abundantly outside of the building.
Paul said it best in II Corinthians 5:1 for we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God not made with hands eternal in the heavens. This tells us that we are to open our minds to the Word and let it speak to us what it will. Man has a human spirit that is distinct and it allows man to interact and move in the earthly and spiritual realms. This is the command center in man and life, animation and personality is sustained by God. The heart seeks and longs for God. As we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, we will understand and discover Bible truths for ourselves.
The dedicated Christian spends much of their time in the study of the Word. The Holy Spirit can speak through a tree if He wants to, so how much more man? Jesus Himself taught us that we are to enter into our closets when we pray. He is not talking literally going in a clothes closet but the closet of your heart where the Spirit dwells. We can have access to God through Jesus Christ when we touch and agree with another; Matthew 18:19. Realize that Jesus is the door of the sheep and if we open up to Him, He will come in and save us. Jesus said in St. John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. When we come to know Jesus Christ, we come to know God also.
We the Church of Jesus Christ is guilty of stretching His Word in ways he abhors. Matthew 12:36-37 but I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak they shall give account thereof in the days of judgment. For by thy words thou shall be justified, and by thy words thou shall be condemned. Luke 12:47-48 and that servant which knew his lord’s will and prepared not himself neither did according to his will shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes, for unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required; and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. Church we will be accountable for the things we do in this flesh rather it pleases God or not. To them that know the truth and do not the truth is as wasted goods.
In time of disobedience we bring dishonor upon God and ourselves. Be sure your sin will find you out and what will you do? We the people of God bring shame upon the name of Christ. This is what causes some afflictions to come upon us, the disobedient one. Then all afflictions do not come from no one doing wrong but a test. St. John 9:3, neither hath this man sinned nor his parents; but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. There is a reason for afflictions and whether or not one’s mind is carnal or not is how they will perceive afflictions. Many Christians judge wrong and have already put others in hell. In our country in which we live; the USA, sin is rampant.
What has the Church done or is doing about the conditions around them? II Chronicles 7:14 if my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. We are not praying against those spirits that have raised themselves up not only in the lives of sinners but Christians also. We are not praying because we are ignorant of Satan’s devices. We see what is going on in other countries right now and we say it’s not us. But what we see if we don’t pray will knock on our doors. God has chosen us and sanctified us that we may attach ourselves to Him. What are we waiting on? We will be held accountable. We are not bearing any fruit, His righteousness in us are withering. We have a way that we take but it is not the way God told us to go. Therefore we are in disobedience and God cannot and will not come in and work any miracles among us.
Although on the other hand if we are willing and obey, God will change his mind. Matthew 5:10-12 blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad; for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. It’s time to take it and make it. Sometime we may be hungry, weep in agony, be hated, your family and friends leave you, someone life a reproach against you, and even your name might be cast out there for evil but be of good cheer. If they put you out like this and all you have done is for Christ then rejoice for your reward will be great in heaven. Jesus have overcome the world and we are overcomers also. We are the tabernacle on high but we need to come down from the tree top, Jesus wants to come in and abide. Let Him in!
