Matthew 6:33:

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

(*Definition of righteousness= Morally upright; without guilt or sin/ Definition of ‘seek’= To endeavor to obtain or reach; to locate)


I was studying this verse in Matthew this morning, and on my lunch hour driving home I heard the voice of the Lord say this:

“Put Me first- continue to put Me first-before and above all things-and I will open the doors that no man shall shut!”

Child of the Most High God, as we put God first-in all things in our lives-He truly will make the way when there is no way-He will provide the provision when there seems to be none, He will do what’s impossible with man but oh-so possible with Him! Do you have Him first in everything in your life? First, in the beginning of your day, in your thoughts, in your motives, in your dreams and desires, in your choices and decisions, in your relationships, in your finances, in your home, in your business, in ALL THINGS??? Ask the Lord, on this day, if there is any part of your life where He has not been given the place of being first…the Holy Spirit will show you…ask the Lord for forgiveness for those places where He has not been first and maybe even not been a part of it in any way…receive His forgiveness, and press in to Him…He will make the crooked paths in your life straight, He will smooth out the rough places, He will cause His glory to shine and cast out the darkness…He will do-truly-exceedingly and abundantly (Ephesians 3:12) above All that you can think or ask! He is calling you—listen…He is calling you by name…and in the words of the sermon God gave my pastor this past weekend- He has prepared a place of great significance for you on the mountain top and not of insignificance in the dry and dark valley…make the choice to trust Him, take Him at His word-put and keep Him first- and make the choice to let the Lord bring you into that place on the mountain top—remember, that God will tell us what to do, He will tell us how to do it, but we have to be the ones to make the choice...Have you made yours?
