In the times when You aren’t seen,
when things of life seem cruel and mean,
when You seem too far away,
yet in our minds we hear You say,
“I am with you all the way,”

Lord, write it on our hearts.


When rent is due and even late,
the eviction notice we anticipate,
and strength seems small, hope
disappears, yet in our minds
we clearly hear,
“For you daily I provide
so do not worry,
do not fear.”

Write it on our hearts Lord.

When we don’t see the way to go,
and where we’ll go we do not know,
nor yet how we shall get there, and the
day, though filled with sunny light
appears as grey as early night, and still
we hear, “I guide yours steps though
you can’t see, so My child just lean
on Me.”

Lord, write it on our hearts.

It’s from our hearts and not our heads
that faith in You is born. Our head is
subject to vacillate, contemplate, hesitate,
and doubt, if it cannot figure things out;
but things that are known within our hearts
are firm and strong and will not doubt.

We ask of You Lord
to pierce our hearts
with Your Mighty Sword.
