Convict me of the Truth, Lord,
   and I will thank You.
Let it come to me like the sharp sword that it is
   and I will regard it as kindness.
I will embrace its edge myself
   to my own earthly harm 
      for Your heavenly good.
Cut me and I will love You unto death,
   more importantly unto Life Eternal,
      both here and now as well as the Age to come.
 
Thank You for Your kind faithfulness.
 
I have heard You.
