I confound the wise
   with the foolish of the world.
I declare holy with My eyes,
   once their sins are hurled.
I make meek the mighty,
   give My strength to the soft.
I will do as I judge rightly
   with wisdom from My loft.

I empower My daughters
   and make gentle My sons.
Hear My voice, like many waters,
   giving them breath for their lungs.

Behold My own in unearthly glory,
   those I've made My children.
They're the chapters of My story,
   as on earth they're pilgrims.

Though they're small, they're My delight,
   I am their Hope and Future.
They were once wrong. In Me, they're right,
   healed with My Spirit's suture.

See their eyes, see My joy,
   see Me in their spirit.
See, in them, My promise deployed.
By their deeds you see it!

As I love My one Son,
   them I love as much.
It's through Him they have won,
   they are in His clutch.
And I will send Him to them
   to bring them to Myself.
With Us they'll see the death of sin
   and how We've been their Help.

Until then He's My Pattern,
   by which I change their lives.
With My Word as their Lantern
   and His Spirit they will thrive.
With the love that I've instilled,
   I replace their sullied heart.
Coming forth from those Christ-filled,
   I have made My grace impart.

We work in them to unify,
   that all will know He came.
With their union I glorify
   and proclaim My reign.

The world sees what is the Truth,
   through the salt and the light.
This is My love that is proof
   I am all that's right.
They will stand in their silence
   as Truth rebukes without a word.
They will be without defense,
   My children have made Me heard.
