Psalm 119.72

Proven

"The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces" [Psalm 119.72 NASB]

As king, David was not exaggerating when he carefully penned these words. We can all make this statement but until we have been tried and tested along similar lines, we do not know how we would honestly respond.

There were many visitors coming to the Palace and also much wisdom from near and far would be heard in David's presence. But David was not easily swayed from the truth, which he had steadily assimilated, and he constantly stayed close to God's word.

This is why we urgently need the ministry of discernment today. There is no shortage of new words, spiritual principles, theories and life-changing patterns but the man who has tried and proven God to be true in all of the vicissitudes of life, will not be easily diverted from the straight and narrow way.

As the days in which we live, are coming to a close, there will be an increase in demonic activity and influence and the spirits of deception will be everywhere spreading half-truths and downright lies to all those who are listening.

What should you be doing? As a wise merchant, accept the word of God as full payment for all the goods that you have in store - and you will be rich in truth and knowledge, having no want of anything ever again. [David McArdle]
