God Don’t Write Bad Checks

The Lord is longsuffering. He love us and kindly shows his love to us. We are strengthened with might because of the glorious power unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. God wants man to glorify Him. He opened up a checking system for which man could check himself against. The checking account can’t have non sufficient funds but it sure can shut you down. A spirit of disobedience is enough to bankrupt the account. We go to God when we want something but all other times we murmur and complain. We are to realize that with God we can’t and will not lose because God wrote out a check payable to us on Calvary Cross and Jesus signed the check and gave the Holy Ghost the power to cash the check in Heaven for man on the earth. All of this was done that we can live a righteous and godly life here in the earth. We are without excuse. God chose us from the beginning to rule the earth. The checking account God gives never run out. It is daily replenished with God’s grace and mercy.

The people of God murmured when they were brought out of Egypt. Its not that God don’t have the power to bring us out of our situations, we just won’t shut up. When we murmur and complain against God and his leaders, we don’t realize the consequences of our actions. The people of God cried and wept and murmured against Moses and Aaron. They murmured so much that they began to talk foolishly. They didn’t know how to shut up, just like us today. God forgive me my mouth. Moses was called of God to do a work, to bring the people of God out of Egypt. His brother Aaron and their sister Miriam also assisted in fulfilling this tedious task. Moses life had been preserved by God for this time in life. God will preserve our lives also. Moses was a baby so he did not know he was being preserved to one day be God’s leader to deliver God’s people out of bondage.

Pharaoh the king of Egypt had pronounced death on all male children under the age of two. After Moses was born his mother hid him for three months. When she could no longer hide him, she put Moses in an ark of bulrushes on the river edge where he would be found by Pharaoh’s daughter. His sister Miriam stood back and watched to see who would find Moses and when she saw that the Princess found him she acted quickly to ask her if she needed a Hebrew woman to care for and nurse the child. She answered yes and Miriam after being instructed to bring a nurse called their own mother to be his nurse maid and care for her own son. Moses was taken and nourished and kept safely concealed. Who could write a check that big and cash it but God. With God we will never bankrupt and deplete our lives with what we need. God has a plan to bring us out of what ever situation we are in. God has a plan of deposits to enrich our lives. Moses mother had to first hear instructions and obey. The work of God will prosper in what He sent it to. We don’t know the way we take but keep making those deposits of obedience into your account. Soon if we faint not we will prosper in the things God has called us to.

Later on Pharaoh’s daughter adopted the baby and called him Moses, which means drawn out. His name was befitting because Moses was drawn out of the water and became her adopted son. Moses was educated in all the splendor of the Egyptian Court in all their wisdom and culture. It is supposed but not confirmed that Moses studied at the Temple of the Sun in Heliopolis.

At age forty Moses decided that he would go and visit his brethren. He was vexed at the burdens he found them to be going through. We need someone to become vexed at the way the world is going around us too. Moses smote (killed) an Egyptian that smote his brethren and hid him in sand. After being found out concerning the soldier Moses had to flee to Midian for his life. He fled from the wrath of the king. Afterwards he hid by the Well and there he defended the daughters of Reuel from some Shepherds. Had he not killed the soldier he would not have been in position to save the daughters. He ran from Pharaoh’s presence into Midian where he was provided for by Reuel. When his daughters came and told him what Moses had done at the well, he made a home for Moses and gave him Zipporah as his wife. They had two sons, Gershom and Eliezer.

Shut your mouth! God did not write a bad check with Moses. God appeared to Moses in a bush. Do we realize the many ways God have to do things? God is God so He can come into anything in the earth to use as He pleases. God had a purpose set in the account of Moses long before he come into the world. What kind of check is God willing to write for us? Are we worthy of what God has deposited in our lives? God heard the groans of the Israelites and remembered his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Noah. A covenant is a league, compact, or agreement; an expression of God’s gracious promises to his people, also their consequent relationship to Him.

Genesis 6:18 God promises Noah the same promise made before to establish His covenant and to deliver his people. God instructed Noah that he was to build an Ark and he would bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy it. Noah had found grace in the sight of the Lord. Did God write out a bad check where Noah was concerned? No. Noah did build an Ark, just as Moses did in later when God instructed him to also lead the people out of Egypt. The earth was corrupt them to as it is becoming now because of disobedience of man to God. Exodus 3:2; and the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire and the bush was not consumed.

Now tell me this; how can fire consume a bush and it not be burned down? The bush would remind Moses everyday who is was that called him and who it is for him to depend upon. Our greatest dependency should be in God. Would everything go smoothly because Moses was the leader? No. He had many trials with his people. They murmured and complained every day. They would not shut up. Moses turned aside to see the great sight and wondered why the bush was not burnt. When the Lord saw that Moses turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush and said, Moses, Moses, and Moses said here am I. When God call us what do we do? Do we turn to see what He has to say or show us? Or do we do what we want to and expect God to bless us? God called and Moses listened. We can’t go on holy ground any kind of way. We have to take off some things from us so we can be in obedience to God. We have to be reminded too that it is God and He shows up when He wants to, how He wants to and sometime it right at the last hour. The burning bush would remind Moses of the power and purpose of God throughout the years of his work as a Leader of God’s people. God’s people are not easily led and it takes God to make man a leader. God prepared Moses for this journey just as he did Jesus, Paul, and others.

After we have been reminded that God is there and wants to deliver us we should submit to the will of God. God sees our afflictions. He wants to deliver us, but if he deliver some of us too soon we will make a mess of lives. When God deliver us He will dry our tears and bring us to the land of promise. We are to say what God says and no more. Shut your mouth, God don’t write bad checks. If He deposit something in us He is well able to do what He said He would do. Stop second guessing God. Just like Moses we have a burning bush that reminds us of who God is and it encourages us to continue the journey no matter what the opposition is. God knows the situations, the oppression, and things that come to suck the life out of us. He is not without understanding how we feel and the things people say and do to us. Oh we are understood but do we understand what it takes to stay the course? Moses was prepared early in life for the journey he would later have to take. He was familiar with the king and the courts. He knew how to maneuver around them. He was also strengthen for the task. How do we prepare for what we are called to do?

To know God is to love Him. To love God is to obey Him. To obey Him is to keep the commandments. Jesus came to bring forth what we as the people of God need to take us through. Moses humbled himself to God when he asked God who am I, that I should bring forth your people out of Egypt. We can miss God when we do not humble ourselves to Him. Humility is the state or quality of being humble, freedom from pride and arrogance; a modest estimate of one’s own worth; a sense of ones own unworthiness through imperfection and sinfulness; humbleness. Jesus Christ was humble and reaped the benefits of that humility. Because He humbled himself to his Father in Heaven, we too enjoy the benefits of Heaven. We set God on high and he will look low and bless us. Moses and many other Biblical persons realized humility is before honor. Job 22:29, when men are cast down, then thou shall say, there is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person. God hears the desires of the humble, He prepares their hearts and cause them to hear. They shall see and be glad and their heart shall live. God covers the heart of the humble. We allow others to praise us and not we ourselves. Isaiah 57:15, I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the contrite one. What does the Lord require of us but to walk justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

Shut your mouth, God don’t write bad checks but men do. A man will write you off and think not that they sin. There are sins to the flesh and sin to Spirit that man has not realized yet. Moses was instructed to being the people out of Egypt. God preordained him for the work. He worked and the people was delivered but he himself could not go into the promised land because he had slew an Egyptian soldier. What are we allowing to keep us out of that promised place? God gave Moses and the Israelites victory and triumph over their enemies. God will make our enemies be still. The enemy will not rejoice over us for we bear the indignation of the Lord because we sinned against him, until he plead our cause and execute judgment for us. God will then bring us forth to the light and we shall behold his righteousness. We live in a time that our land is desolate because of we that dwell therein and for the fruit of our doings. According as God has called us He warns us of our mouths that we should shut up and stop depositing into our account those things that God despises.

Moses asked God What is your name? Who shall I say sent me? God said unto Moses I AM THAT I AM: and he said thus shall thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. And God said moreover unto Moses, thus shall thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you; this is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

We are to rejoice, sing unto God. We are to rejoice, sing praises to his Name. Let the the righteous rejoice before God exceedingly. God is a father to the fatherless, God sets solidity in families, he bring out those which are bound with chains; but the rebellious dwell in the wilderness. When God march through our wilderness the earth shakes, the heavens also drops at the presence of God, what is wrong with man? We should be praying for God’s Kingdom to be enlarged in the earth. God wants to be merciful to us and bless us and cause his face to shine upon us but we wont shut our mouths. God don’t write bad checks. We can count on him but yet we put our trust in man. Man will give us checks they know will bounce or they trust that they will have a deposit when none is available to them.
