Misuse of Authority
Understanding Comes By and By

Psalm 1:1-6, blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so; but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

The Psalms are the most ancient, complete, and expressive, compendum of human praise known; and are really quite abnormal; the collection of one hundred and fifty poems. Which we call the Hebrew Psalter is indeed a manual of devotion, a casket of praise, full of gems and adoration whose treasures are inexhaustible. David in the Psalms centered around God himself. He gave God all the glory due when he ascribed all glory to the only true and living God. The Psalms lead the worshiper to praise God for what he is in himself and thank him for what he is to us. In the early Church it was required that all Ministers was to know the Psalms by heart. The Psalms is the Bible within the Bible. Many Psalms are duplicated just as God wants to be duplicated in our lives. What does duplicate means.

We the people of God have a problem with understanding God's Word, Will, and Way. Our understanding is not enlightened until we go through something. God has left us the perfect example to follow and we still does not understand the spiritual working of God. What is wrong with us? The people of God has turned so far from Him that they don't realize they have turned. We are to duplicate Jesus in the earth. If Jesus is duplicated in the earth that means he is doubled and doubled and no one is left behind. Duplicate means to double, consisting of or existing in two corresponding perfect examples, identical parts. We are to be an identical part, carbon copy of Jesus. We are to be devoted in our living to Jesus. Some says what would Jesus do but don't do what he says do and that goes farther than just living without committing a physical sin. In our devotion to him an act of prayer or private worship, religious fervor, or exercise other than the other corporate worship of a congregation, dedicated and loyal. We are to be complete in God having all necessary parts, to make whole or perfect our life. We must remember the first purpose of our service to God and that is to win souls for the kingdom of God.

If we consider our ways we will see that we are not complete in God because all parts are not complete yet. We are still growing everyday to perfection. We execute God's Word in our lives everyday to fulfill or carry it out successfully. We must be perfect in our relationship with God to leave here and go to Heaven, highly proficient, totally concluding that we express His Will in our lives. In our serving we express, utter, represent effectively conveying meaning or feeling, declaring God's Word. David says here in Psalm that God hath not dealt with us after our sin nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For God knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish. God gave man a mouth to speak with but when it comes to God they say nothing. He gave man eyes to see but man see and don't see. Sin is never addressed in the church about ninety percent of the time. We see that David's character is expressed in his Psalms. David had issues in his life that he had to deal with before he died and some of his actions had costly consequences. Just as in our lives we suffer the consequences of our actions. Although devotional in nature the Psalms leads the worshiper to God. Worship is encouraged of by David to the believer and they are to be moved by the impulse to praise and to pray. We can possibly pray almost exclusively in Psalms language. There is a Psalm to meet everyone of man's need.

David lets us know in Psalm 1:1-3, how we are to be happy as godly men and women. David was named the sweet singer of Israel. His Psalms express great truths of David's experiences in the earth as a man that not only bless him in what he went through, but reaches the depths of man's heart even today. He teaches us that head knowledge is not enough, the heart must be touched by God's redeeming grace. When in times of trouble he sang, prayed, or worshiped God. The note of praise should be a part of every Christian's very breath.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly; nor stand in the way of sinners; nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. Blessed, consecrated and highly favored of the Lord is the man that walks or guide their steps after the similitude of God even before those not saved. If we are walking like God we take heed that the light in us does not go out. We have not part in darkness because we walk in the light as Jesus said in St. John 8:12; then spake Jesus again unto them saying I am the light of the world; he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. We teach children to do right but once they reach maturity it up to them to practice what we have preached.

We have been buried with Jesus by baptism into death, raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, that we walk in the newness of life. We are blessed and strengthened in our walk with Christ through God the Father and the Word that we cast off all works of the flesh. The night is far spent and the day is at hand and we need to wear the full armor of God. We are to live righteously and honestly that others see God in you. We want to walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Philippians 2:4, look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. We cant be selfish and serve God. God gives, releases, and make sacrifices. We are to love our neighbor as ourselves. When we do we will not walk in the counsel of the ungodly neither will we stand in the way of sinners. When we as Christians look down on the sinner with a face of dislike, disrespect and derision mixed with indignation we express contempt. We as the people of God can unknowingly show disdain for others. How much rejection do we cause the sinner to experience through what we say or do? We are not to sit in the seat of the scornful. We make the sinner feel unworthy when God loves us all. We can see the contempt in others but not within ourselves.

But his delight is in the Law of the Lord, and in his Law doth he meditate day and night. We are to delight in the law, a rule of conduct, enjoined by a competent authority that is followed and obeyed with grateful extreme satisfaction. We should get great pleasure in submitting to God's Word everyday. How can we give something to others that we ourselves no nothing about. We must focus our thoughts on, reflect on, or ponder over the Word which contain God's Law. They who fears God and keep his commandments are wise. The godly wisdom which they have acquired from the study of the written law, from observation of the human heart, and from a life of holiness when given forth in instruction is a fountain of life. We are supposed to fulfill the Law. The Law of the Lord is perfect in converting the soul of man. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart the commandments is pure. In the Law of God we can behold wondrous things.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in his season. His leaf also shall not wither and whatsoever he do shall prosper. Man is styled in like manner as a tree. They have roots in the earth and branches as arms and legs and they also have a spirit as the trees in Palestine was regarded as special residing places of spirits God is a Spiritual essence absolutely single and not subject either to division. When we cause division to come in any area of life we are of our father the Devil. How can we bring forth good fruit and cause confusion too? God forbid, the Devil is the author of confusion. Confusion uproots good solid manners that has been planted in the heart and mind of the children of God. We must remember that what we plant whether good or bad will come up in the appointed or appropriate time. We plant the Word, so that when that definite time or season presents itself a ready Word will come. The Word finds us and when we need it the Word will meet our need. People sees us as God's witnesses and we have to invite them to come in and sup with the Lord. They have to know that they can take up the cup of the Lord.

The ungodly are not so; but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. The ungodly are those that deny or disobeys God, is sinful, wicked and outrageous. The ungodly covers a wide range of people including the Christian. Because we say we are Christians does not mean we will go to heaven. Christians as David did commit sin in the flesh and Spirit. They don't want to accept this fact but it is true. We can live all of our lives for God and not know Him. There are Christians that refuse to do what God has told them and then there are those that let someone else dictate to them what God wants after he has spoken. Nathan spoke to David and David repented. David did not think that what he did was evil. David took the authority God gave him and misused it. Many of God's people is guilty of misusing the authority God has given them. The ungodly are comparable to someone or something that is comparatively worthless. We can only offer them life and that more abundantly in Jesus Christ. I was reading on Facebook and the question made reference to what man has accomplished in their natural lives should be only for God's people. What is wrong with that? God is a God of all people and He is in no way selfish. He don't love one more than the other. What he loves more about that person is that they obey what He says. All souls are mine said the Lord. It is not his desire that none perish but have eternal life.

We are driving people away time and time again with our words, actions and deeds. It don't mean that the ungodly is acceptable as a Christ child without repentance. A child is not saved because their mother and father is saved. The wind has blew upon the chaff and debris is everywhere. In their eyes where they can see and in their ears, stopping them up where. The eyes of the Christians is full of trash. This worldly debris have captured them where they can't see right and in their ears can't hear properly because what they see has also stopped their ears up to the Word. The Word in its proper context will set us free forever. The ungodly is faithless and perverse in their ways and we the called out people of God has submitted ourselves to these same like demons in the church.

We operate with a closed mind view and do not deal with sin properly. The light of the body is the eye, therefore when the eye is out of order, we cannot see. How can we love someone we have never seen? We can because we walk by faith and not by sight. The generation we live in now is an evil generation. They seeks for a sign for everything, but there shall be no sign given them. The sign has been forever but they refuse to believe. Jesus is the sign for this time, as Jonah was the sign of his generation. Jonah was a prophet to the Ninevites and he couldn't see doing what God had told him to do. Many of us are just like Jonah and we will face our whale experience. Jonah feared for his life. We are so fearful of people we can miss God and don't know it. Every Christian must take heed that the light within us be not darkened through disobedience. Satan comes to drive away our light that shines for Jesus. The ungodly can only be unhappy.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. Ungodliness usually makes one prideful. They desire to be first in everything and usually go out of the way to be seen or known. The mind of the ungodly is not easily penetrated, they treasure in their hearts the things of the world, the heart which is evil engulfs what they believe. They really have no desire for righteousness and rejects Christ. The ungodly does not strive to enter in at the strait gate. Repentance makes one worthy to be called a child of God but it does not mean that we are worthy. None of us are worthy but Jesus Himself. We have to deny ourselves but the ungodly loves themselves or so they think. Matthew 16:24, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. St. John 8:44, ye are of your father the Devil, and the lust of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is not truth in him. When he speak a lie; he speaks of his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. These are they by the wayside, when the Word is sown they heard the Word but before it reached their heart Satan immediately take it from them.

For the Lord knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the ungodly shall perish. The righteous are those that have heard the Word, accepted it and took hold and held on to the Word. As we learn, go through, experience things in life, we come to conform to a standard of perfection. Righteousness is an attribute of God and signifies holiness, justice, and right doing. When applied to man righteousness signifies the possession of the Christian virtues, faith, hope and charity; a life which conforms to the divine law. We have to observe to do all the commandments before God. The righteous speak the truth, have cleans hands and will not lift up his soul to vanity. Righteousness shall direct the paths of those that call themselves a child of God. The wicked however works deceitfully. In the way of righteousness is life and in the pathway thereof there is not death. While righteousness exalts a nation, sin is a reproach to any people. But those that fear God have an honest and good heart and keep the Word once they hear it. Truth brings us to the light and we know that God is true.
