The Listening Father

Psalm 116:1-2 “I love the LORD, because he hath heard my
voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear
unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.” (KJV)

Does the Father ever tire of all the cares I bring?
Is His time too taken up because He is the King?
I am not the only one that the Father listens to.
Perhaps millions come each hour before His day is through.

“Before His day is through?” My Father never sleeps!
There are no hours He’s off, for every hour He keeps.
My cares may fill a book and seem to have no end.
He does not turn away but He is my dearest friend.

Around this crowded globe there are others with great care.
But I never have to wait to bring my burdens there.
His ears will never tire nor does He turn away.
I’m like His only child when He listens to me pray.

Are the cares you have too great for God to intervene?
When God looks from His throne, do you ever feel unseen?
Let the promises of God flood o’er your heart with cheer.
“I will never leave thee, nor yet forsake thee here.”(Hebrews 13:5)
