Look at FaceBook, and you will see a plethora of posts. Some relating to the upcoming Season. Some referencing daily activities. Some encouraging and inspirational. And others... not so much. And some of these posts are down right blah... icky... yucky... poo. How's that for creative verbiage;)

'Seasonal depression' plays a huge part in this. Things happen. Circumstances arise that are out of our control. Difficulties seem to travel in pairs... sometimes thirds. It seems that one thing after another is happening, and it makes it difficult to look beyond the situation and see the grander picture. Luckily, we serve a God who is well ahead of where we are. He goes before us in ALL that we do. He creates the path, and gives us the option of walking it, or not... the choice is ours to make.

The problem is this...

The enemy is well aware of what 'season' is rapidly approaching. Christmas music is blaring on the radio. Christmas programming is all over the television. People are considering the REAL reason for the season, and satan doesn't want any part of that... oh no!! That dirty lil critter is going to do whatever he feels necessary to take your joy right away from you. he will wreak havoc in whatever area of your life that he sees fit... and most of the time, he attacks where it will hurt the most.

he knows good and well what Season is upon us. The joy that this time of year brings. The togetherness. The love. The blessing. The Sacrifice that comes with the Birth. THE Baby... Away in a manger... Baby Jesus. Without whom, we would not be forgiven... oh, yes. satan is well aware of the importance of this time of year. The relevance of THAT BABY!!

You see...

THAT BABY...
~ was God made man.

THAT BABY...
~ is the Light.

HE is the Life... the Promise. God with us.
HE is the Lord. The Messiah. The Anointed One.
HE is the All in all. The Almighty. And Altogether Lovely.

THAT BABY...
~ is the Anchor. The Anointed One. The Bridegroom.

HE is the Alpha and the Omega. The Beginning AND the End. The First and the Last.
HE is the Chosen One. The Deliverer. The Great Physician.
HE is the Head. The Glory of God. The GREAT I AM.

THAT BABY...
~ is the Shepherd. The Truth. The Rock
HE is the Rabbi. Jehovah. The Messiah.
HE IS!!

THAT BABY... grew into a man...
~ who was tempted by the devil himself, and yet remained without sin.

THAT BABY... grew into a man...
~ who knew His reason for being.

And THAT MAN...
GAVE IT ALL FOR YOU!!!

So, if you are looking for hope during this time of year... If you're in need of revelation... inspiration... SALVATION...

Look no further!! You, my friend, will find all of those things in THAT BABY!!

I want to encourage you all to consider what THAT BABY really, and truly means to you. The Birth, the Life, and the Death. And when things are difficult, and you see no Hope in sight... YOU PRAISE HIM!! NOT FOR WHAT HE'S DONE, BUT FOR WHO HE IS!!!
