With a heavy laden Cross on his shoulder
Jesus walked through the streets of Judea
The hearts of people were dry and colder
Forgetting all he did among them.

Even Pilate tried to release him;
His Roman heart was warmer
Than the people, who were fed by him,
Were shouting for his crucifixion!

He strode on the streets with the crown of thorns,
That his people presented their redeemer king
How did they forget the ‘Hosanna’ march?
And the multiplication of bread and fish?

Some women on the streets had hearts to mourn
But why couldn’t they pull their cruel men?
Even his disciples hid somewhere
Unable to counteract the unjust few!

A seed was sown in blood and pain
As foretold thousands of years ago
But it sprouted out in resurrection
Assuring humanity the power of Cross!

Sacrifice in charity wins all trials
Truth cannot be hidden underground!
Crucifixion is hope and strength
In every action of our life on earth!

Jesus died for the sins and reunited
All of us in the heavenly bond
He ‘canceled the record of debts’
And freed us all by the binding nails! (Colo.2:14)

Jesus mounted the pulpit of Cross
From where he proved his preaching in deed
It was the practical Sermon on Mount
This explained all his words!

Liberating Cross is still a mystery
But life through it is proved in history
Millions walk with Cross on shoulders
Following Jesus, who walked in front!
