In Zimbabwe, where i live, there are still traces of firmly founded cultures. Respecting one's elders is still a value many live to uphold. However, with the fast infiltration of foreign world lifestyles, the vast majority of urbanites have gradually fallen trap to the world's fastest growing disease, immorality.

Recently, while travelling by public transport means, we stopped at a fuel station. A fairly old lady boarded the bus i was in. She had growing white hair and one could visibly perceive the old age in her eyes and skin. Upon boarding, i would have thought she would step off immediately, realising that she was to stand for the whole of the remaining 15 minute journey. However, she did not.

In old days, this was nearly unacceptable. I've come to realise that now, its apparently nonsensical to do 'good' that not, because standing up for this lady is deemed 'extreme'. Hence even if one wants to stand up for her, they remain laid back because they fear that bit of shame attatched to being 'over-moralised'.

A christian mind creates a brand new being. Cultures are overridden when the Christly mind manifests. I was one of the people in that bus, but i found a rare courage to stand up. Thats what constitute a christian mind. I believe a few other passengers learnt a few things there.

If you remember how the woman (with the alabaster box) went up to Jesus Christ, cutting below her moral values (even though she was loosley moralled already). Already, a christian spirit had taken over her to shun social standards that drag us back to do good things. Take Jesus Christ On board, and preach the Gospel with your deeds!
