What’s Your Sign?

You will have no other gods before Me!

Exodus 20:3

As many of us know, a great many well meaning people, Christians included, like to discuss their horoscopes. Just about everywhere I go I will be asked: “What is your sign” I am told that each of us is born under a sign of the zodiac. I am further told that we are star stuff and because everyone is from the stars they thusly guide or behaviors depending upon the sign we are born under. So that Leos are courageous, strong leaders. Tauruses are said to be difficult and stubborn. Aquarians are reportedly persons who excel as artisans and intellect. And so forth, I am told.

While waiting in the dentist’s office for a routine dental examination and cleaning, I was asked: “Say Pete! What’s your sign?”

Without thought or hesitation my response was, “The Cross!”

Prayer: Almighty Father, I do not place my trust in planetary movements or stars as they were created and placed in the cosmos by You. They are Your creations! Father, You are all I want to worship and all I will ever need to deal with life’s issues and daily living!
