Are your feet touching the ground?

This morning I went for a walk in my yard and down to the lake and I was barefooted.
To be honest it was the first time in a long time and I mean years that the soles of my bare feet had really touched the grass and the soil of the land. Yes there has been the early morning stroll of about 50 yards to walk and get the newspaper, but I was always walking on asphalt so there was no contact with the ground, no danger per say of getting something in my feet like a thorn, a briar , jagged glass or anything like that. Being raised on a poor dirt farm in NC, we always went barefooted in the summer because we were not allowed to mess up our good shoes. You quickly learned back then that were briars, and lots of broken glass soda pop bottles and something we call Sand Spurs and man are those sand spurs are painful when you step on them. But the lesson is that we learned to walk or step correctly and safely or we the soles of our feet would get injured, plus the soles of our feet became callused and hard.
The Lord spoke to me this morning and said my child, you and your fellow brothers in Christ, both the saved and the unsaved do not see the dangers that can attack and hurt their souls and the souls of others around them. We have lived in a blessed state of being for years now in the USA and we have forgotten our first love, our protector, our Father.
You see back in the old days, my feet were tough and hard and I could walk on rocks and etc and not even feel any pain, the soles of my feet became callused over. So often times I would walk over smaller pieces of glass or small thorns or small baby sand spurs and there was no pain, no reaction.
A lot of our souls have become this way today, we do not see any danger or pain in the some of the things that we do or say because our souls and spirit and thought process has become callused by the world and we not feel the pain. We have allowed the world to determine for us what is right and what is wrong.
To be at peace with the world is to be at war with God, we need to reflect on that more often. We need to walk correctly with the Lord.
