All around me is a scent,
   that provokes a wonder.
When all I've done has left me spent,
   my spirit hears a distant thunder. 
 
Though I'm frail and O so common
   my head's been lifted up.
I have answered Grace's summons
   and I've drank His cup. 
 
Always what I feel
   lies against the true.
What is promised has been sealed
   and always has been proved.   

All around me is a scent,
   even though I fail to see.
Just remind me when I'm spent;
   the love the Lord has for me.
