There is nothing like a funeral to make you think about a lot of things. Family! You want your loved ones to know you have loved them with all your heart. You want them to be taken care of for the rest of their lives. Then, there is your character. You want to be remembered as a person who has accomplished a lot in their lifetime. To have done many memorable things that you can be proud of.

As I attend a funeral for a great man, it causes me to think about what I will leave behind and how I will be remembered. I want my family to know I love them. God has blessed me with them and they are what give me so much joy in my life. I also want to know in my heart, That I Have Made a Difference for Christ!

When it comes right down to it, at the top of my list, I want them to say, “She loved Jesus, with all her heart. She lived for Him everyday of her life. She reached out to people and tried to show the love of Jesus. She ministered to the broken hearted. She was concerned with the hearts of people, not wanting any to perish without Jesus Christ. She wanted to make a difference for the kingdom of God, and she did!”

I want to leave a legacy for everyone that I come in to contact with. The legacy of the love of Jesus! Life is nothing without Him. Money and things, you can not take with you, but souls, you can. Every person that sees me can at least see a smile, which comes from a heart of love. There are a lot of people out there who don’t see many smiles in their day to day life. Mine may be the one they look at and want to know what causes me to smile, opening an opportunity to tell of Jesus.

To everyone God puts in my path, I pray to leave a legacy of God’s love. Praying it will ignite a fire that will stir their soul, causing them to come to Jesus, then in turn, starting their own legacy. Starting a contagious wildfire, that will have a domino effect and touch an uncountable number of people. Simply because of one person, who loved Jesus with all her heart!
Life is all about God. He gives us our blessings. We have to take care of what He does give to us. He trusts us with them. Life is short, Psalm 39:5 You have given me only a short life; my lifetime is like nothing to you. Everyone's life is only a breath.

We have to make a difference. All I know is that when my time comes, I want my family and friends to be there with me someday and I want to hear that precious scripture, Matthew 25:21 "His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
