It's that time of the year when the haunted houses and all the scary things are coming out. Every year, Halloween day seems to be growing and growing. I don't think that is a good thing. I love to dress up and eat candy more than most probably, but Halloween is not a day that glorifies God with all of the evil, fear, gore, mean pranks, etc.

Most churches have started, Hallelujah night. That is more like it. That's all about God! We went to a church, who hosted the House of Eternity! Wow, what an impact it leaves on your life. I've been in some haunted houses. It was fun to scream and pretend to be scared. Now days, the haunted houses are not like they were when I was little and they were so fake. They are scary! I have not been in any, but you can tell by the advertisements.

First of all, I don't know why anyone who loves Jesus would want to be scared to death by the evil things in this world. It's crazy. If you want to be scared to death, I know a few people I will put you in a car with and they will scare the life right out of you. Just kidding!

Anyway, the House of Eternity has a fear of its own, but it's a Godly fear. The scenes portrayed, are real life. The thing that gets to me, is the fact that those scenes and the demons and the evil they represent are truly real. There is an eternity. We will go one of two places. The things that are being glorified on Halloween are the things of the enemy.

The real fear we should have, is that of a God, that we will stand before him one day and if our name is not in the book of life, we will experience those evil, scary, insane things. They were not meant for us. Heaven was meant for us. It is our choice. Do we want to choose a haunted house, or the House of Eternity, that ends in heaven, in the throne room of God! There will never be any fear there! Everyone has their own opinions. You can have any one you want. I just pray that it is the one that leads you to Jesus.
