I Have Seen Him

I have seen him in whom I have believed.
I had believed a lie until I saw him.

I saw him and could not believe my eyes.
I held him close and would not let him go.
His beauty was too much
And I could not take away my eyes.

As I looked at him,
His glow touched my weaknesses
And took them all away.

He watered my soul
And caused my light to shine.

He took me out of the bondage of life
And set me at liberty.

He remembered me
And brought me unto honor.

Therefore will I praise him
I will exalt him,
For he has exalted my horn
Like the horn of a unicorn.

Oh! How great is his mercy towards me.
