Dove

Beyond the storm
Past the rainy nights
All alone
With people all around tonight
Locked in a cage
With a lost key
Safe from life
But lost in a dream
Take up your dreams
And let them grow wings
Fly away,
Don't let anything stand in your way.

Peace is just a breath away
Each step taken, God is there.
When I seek, I truly will find.
Love never fails, for God is there.
In this lonesome place
Only in God is where I'll stay white
With all my purity and dignity.
How can I be so clean?
His innocent blood on me.
Who do I believe?
The truth or the lie.

Freedom is there
But tyranny is too.
From two separate things
They can't live alone.
For without freedom
How would I know oppression?
And when I’m bound
Where is my Savior?
Just as with light
There is darkness,
Only One can cancel out the other.
This world runs on laws
With one to good
The other to bad.
There is a time for everything,
A time for understanding
A time for deceit.
I have to choose who I will believe in
Who will I serve?
There are kingdom seekers
And side show peepers
All will be justly judged.
Choose this day who I will serve.
The dead vulture below
Or the Dove in flight.
